    Abstract: The emergency egress apparatus includes a protuberance mated to a first portion of the door barricade and a keeper mated to a second portion of the door barricade. A retainer is selectively disposed between one of two positions. A first position defines the placement of the retainer that establishes an interference fit between the protuberance and the keeper. A second position defines the placement of the retainer such that it is not in contact with the protuberance or the keeper. The first position secures the first portion of the door barricaded with respect to the second portion of the door barricade, and the second position decouples the first portion of the door barricade with respect to the second portion of the door barricade.

    Abstract: A lockdown system for use in a building including multiple rooms with doors providing access to the rooms, the lockdown system including: at least one room lockdown component provided in each of a plurality of the rooms, the room lockdown components comprising door-securing devices that are external of the doors and, in a deployed condition of the room lockdown components, are manually positioned inside said rooms to oppose inward movement of the doors and thereby block or secure the doors, the room lockdown components further characterized by a non-deployed condition in which the door-securing devices are positioned at storage locations inside the rooms, and wherein further each room lockdown component is operative to automatically signal initiation of a lockdown event when its door-securing device has been moved from its storage location; and at least one communication device operative to receive the signaled initiation of a lockdown event when any one or more of the door-securing devices have been moved from their storage locations, and to provide an alert notification of the initiation of the lockdown event.

    Abstract: A support apparatus comprising an engagement member having a plurality of walls integrally formed with each other and a support member. The support member includes a bracket member pivotably coupled to the engagement member and a leg member pivotably coupled to the bracket member. The bracket member comprises a plurality of fixing apertures corresponding to a fixing member extending from the engagement member. Each fixing aperture is configured to receive the fixing member. A pivot aperture is provided for receiving a pivot member which is configured to be received by a pivot support positioned on the engagement member. A biasing member is coupled to the pivot member such that the pivot member is movable with the bracket member away from the engagement member and such that the bracket member is rotatable when the pivot member is moved away from the engagement member.     Abstract: Disclosed is a doorstop assembly which allows a doorstop to be conveniently installed or removed from left or right swinging doors of varying thicknesses. The assembly has a portable door clip which may be easily pulled off a left swing door, turned upside down, and then pushed into place onto a right swing door. The portable door clip can firmly embrace doors of varying thickness. A dual lock leg mounted to the front of the door clip can be stowed in an upward position regardless of which way the door clip is turned, and then lowered toward the floor surface when in use to stop the door from closing.

    Abstract: A child safety lock to selectively secure cabinet drawers and doors by using tie-wraps to mount a horizontally oriented base standoff onto the front rail of the cabinetry in a manner that won't hinder opening and closing the related doors and drawers. At least one spring-loaded latch member is pivotally disposed on the base standoff above a notched out section. The latch member stays frictionally engaged in the horizontal position due to the bias provided by spring-loaded pivot point when access is desired. To restrict access therein, the adult simply turns the latch member to the vertical position to block the door/drawer wherein the spring bias pulls it into the notched out section thereby necessitating the more complex action of simultaneously pulling and turning the latch member to allow access thereto.

    Abstract: An interior storm window assembly has an outer frame adapted to be attached to an existing window frame or wall and having a channel running around an interior surface thereof, and a window unit comprising an inner frame surrounding a window pane.
