Abstract: A key lockable window operator, including a crank handle that is shiftable between a folded storage position and an unfolded operating position and a lock cylinder operably engaged to a rack and a sliding pin. The rack and the sliding pin are shiftable between an unlocked position and a locked position. When in the locked position, at least a portion of the sliding pin is engaged into a cavity in the crank handle whereby the crank handle is secured in the folded storage position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a window lock having a trigger and a bolt, the trigger being rotatable about an axis of rotation and the bolt being movable from a locked position to an unlocked position. The bolt also includes a first clip and a second clip and the trigger includes a stop and a ramp. The trigger rotates about the axis for engaging and disengaging the ramp and the stop with the first and second clips for moving the bolt between the locked and unlocked positions. The invention further relates to a window lock that automatically locks without user intervention.

Abstract: An improved forced entry resistant sash lock comprises a housing, a shaft rotatably mounted thereto, a locking spring, and a locking cam and a delay cam rotatably and fixedly mounted to the shaft, respectively. The delay cam selectively engages and drives the locking cam between a locked position and an unlocked position. Locking spring biasing causes engagement with a locking cam opening to lock the cam when in the latch-locked position, with engagement to a depth permitting releasable detent engagement in a delay cam recess. Selective engagement and driving of the locking cam comprises a first portion of delay cam rotation being without driven locking cam rotation, and a second portion causing driven locking cam rotation from a retracted position into a protruding position. Selective engagement is by contact between corresponding protrusions on the delay and locking cams. Shaft/delay cam counter-rotation to unlock the latch proceeds in a reverse manner.

Abstract: An operating device for doors, windows, etc. comprises a rosette (20) for holding a rotating handle (10) whose head (12) contains a lock cylinder (18) with an axially displaceable locking bolt (44) that is axially spring-loaded and automatically assumes an engaging position at a defined angle of rotation of the handle (10) by sliding over a stepped locking sleeve (30) of the rosette (20). If the key S is in the cylinder (18), pivoting the handle (10) from a horizontal position into an upward position (12 o'clock) requires two-hand operation. As the handle (10) is turned down into a transverse position (3 o'clock or 9 o'clock), the locking bolt (44) engages behind a tangential stop (68) under spring load, whether or not the key (S) is in the lock cylinder (18).

Abstract: A pivoting handle type winder or door latch actuating handle (1, 2) and a pivoting stay type of window retaining latch (19, 20) for mounting on a movable frame of an openable door or window, and which is co-operable with a corresponding keeper on or in a surrounding fixed frame in order to latch the movable frame to the fixed frame. The latch comprises a latching element (23) which is movable into latching engagement with the keeper when the movable frame is in a closed position with respect to the surrounding fixed frame, and a locking mechanism is provided to lock the engagement of the latching element with the keeper. Abstract: A lock for a window on a topper cap found on pickup trucks and the like. The lock comprises an inner housing having a rotating geared pinion engaging two racks. The racks are attached to deadbolts that can extend and engage the frame tubing on opposite sides of the pinion gear. An outer housing surrounds the inner housing and the deadbolts. A handle shaft is disposed through the outer and inner housings to attach to the pinion gear. Turning the handle turns retracts or extends the deadbolts. The whole assembly can be easily installed by attaching the outer housing to the window inside surface. The housings make it difficult for intruders to open the window by tampering with the mechanical components.
