Abstract: The problem addressed by the invention is providing a closing device for a motor vehicle that can be opened comfortably and nevertheless can be produced with little effort and cannot open in an unplanned manner. This problem is solved in that a closing device comprises a locking mechanism, which has a rotary latch and a pawl, and at least one electrical drive for opening the locking mechanism. The closing device has an actuating apparatus for actuating the electrical drive, such that the locking mechanism can be opened exclusively electrically. Thus, there is no mechanical system—for example, comprising a handle and a Bowden cable that connects the handle to a release lever of the locking mechanism—for enabling the locking mechanism to be opened exclusively in a mechanical manner, i.e., without the use of the electrical drive or another electrical apparatus. In the non-actuated state, the electrical drive is completely disconnected from the current-carrying electrical conductors. Thus, there is then no voltage on the drive, which must be used to open the locking mechanism. The actuating apparatus is designed in such a way that, by means of actuation, one or more electrical contacts are closed in order to contact the electrical drive to a current source and put the electrical drive into operation such that an associated door or flap can be opened.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a safety arrangement for a vehicle. The safety arrangement comprises a bonnet being displaceable between a closed position, an open position, permitting access to an engine compartment of the vehicle, and a deployed position, in which position there is a gap between the bonnet and the engine compartment. Abstract: A secondary latch assembly includes a mounting bracket, a release hook, and a release handle operably connected to the release hook. Abstract: A bonnet for an automotive vehicle has a leading end, a trailing end, and a lock striker for locking the free end of the bonnet to the vehicle body during normal operation when the bonnet is closed. The lock striker is spaced from the bonnet portion by a mounting mechanism that includes at least one elongated arm extending between the inside of the bonnet portion and the lock striker. At least one portion of the elongated arm is weakened to permit relative pivoting of the bonnet portion and the lock striker around a geometrical axis when the elongated arm is loaded in excess of a predetermined value. Abstract: It comprises a rear part provided with a cylindrical body surrounding and clamping a sheath for receiving and protecting a driving cable. Abstract: A hood latch assembly includes a safety lever that is operative in conjunction with the movement of a latch plate so as to ensure a sufficient space between the safety lever and a hood. Namely, the safety lever is arranged in a folded condition when the latch plate constrains a striker of a hood, i.e. the hood is securely closed by the latch assembly. The safety lever is tilted up into an upright position only when the striker becomes freed from the constraint of the latch plate.
