摘要: Systems and methods for generating power using hydrogen fuel, such as derived from natural gas, are provided. Feed materials are introduced into a compact hydrogen generator to produce carbon dioxide, hydrogen gas and steam. Sorbent material within the compact hydrogen generator acts to absorb carbon dioxide, forming a used sorbent. Hydrogen gas and steam are separated from the used sorbent and passed to a power generator such as a hydrogen turbine to produce power. The used sorbent is introduced into a calciner and heated to desorb carbon dioxide and form a regenerated sorbent which can be recycled to the compact hydrogen generator.

摘要: A system including a quench system that may cool a syngas generated in a gasification chamber. The quench system includes a quench chamber, a dip tube that may direct the syngas from the gasification chamber into a quench liquid in the quench chamber to cool the syngas and to generate a first cooled syngas, and a draft tube disposed circumferentially about the dip tube and configured to receive the first cooled syngas in a first direction along a first passage. The first passage is disposed between a first wall of the dip tube and a second wall of the draft tube. The quench system also includes a droplet tube that may receive the first cooled syngas from the first passage. The droplet tube includes a third wall that may redirect a flow of the first cooled syngas in a second direction different from the first direction.

The Air Separation Unit has a Dryer with a dryer heater, wherein an extraction line connects the steam extraction port to the dryer heater. A drain line of the dryer heater then fluidly connects the regeneration heater to a point of a Rankine steam cycle fluidly within the condensate system.

摘要: A power generation system including a gasifier for receiving and converting coal-water slurry to a fuel stream, and a quench device for cooling the fuel stream to generate a cooled down fuel stream. The quench device includes a water quench ring, which is able to spray water to cool the fuel stream passing therethrough. The system further includes a separating device, which includes a separator and a high temperature filter for removing rough and fine particles from the cooled down fuel stream respectively, an expander for receiving and utilizing energy in the fuel stream with solids removed to generate power, during which temperature and pressure of the fuel stream drop and an expanded fuel stream is generated, an acid gas removal unit for removing acid gases from the expanded fuel stream, and a gas turbine combine cycle for generating power from the fuel stream with acid gases removed.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for treating synthesis gas, from an indirect or direct gasifier; the method including steps for: allowing the gas within a predetermined entry temperature range to flow into a first heat exchanger, allowing the gas to flow through the first heat exchanger while exchanging heat to a first medium, allowing the gas to transfer from the first heat exchanger to a subsequent last heat exchanger, allowing the gas to flow though the last heat exchanger while exchanging heat to a last medium, and allowing the gas to exit the last heat exchanger for being available to a further treatment, such as a cleaning treatment, within a predetermined exit temperature range, preferably below an ash or mineral solidification point. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a cooling system for cooling of synthesis gas and to a gasification system.

摘要: A system includes a slurry inlet of the gasifier that receives a feedstock slurry and a gasification section of the gasifier that gasifies the feedstock slurry to produce syngas. The system includes a quench chamber to cool the syngas produced in the gasification section using a liquid feed to produce a quench blow down and quenched syngas. The quench blow down has solids produced as a by-product from gasification. The system includes a quench blowdown outlet which discharges the quench blow down and a slag sump liquid such that the solids concentration of the quench blowdown is reduced. The system includes a syngas outlet which discharges the syngas and a syngas scrubber fluidly coupled to the syngas outlet and to the quench chamber. The syngas scrubber includes a syngas inlet, a scrubbed syngas outlet, and a scrubber blow down outlet fluidly coupled to a fluid inlet of the gasifier.

摘要: The present invention demonstrates a solid fuel grade gasification-combustion dual bed poly-generation system, comprising a combustion system, a gasification system, a synthesized gas cooling and purifying system and a synthesized gas methanization system. The combustion system is connected with the gasification system through a circulating material return system. The gasification system mainly adapts the circulating fluidized-bed combustion mode. The gasification system adapts the fluidized-bed incomplete gasification method and the generated semi-coke is returned to the combustion system for re-utilization. The synthesized gas purifying and cooling unit adapts water cycling and combustible recycling. The by-products, CO2 and steam, in the methanization unit can be recovered, so the maximum utilization rate of energy in this system is realized.

摘要: A system and method for converting waste and secondary materials into synthesis gas (syngas) through the use of a molten metal bath gasifier for the initial breakdown of waste feeds and an A/C plasma reactor for complete dissociation of waste feeds into syngas, and an anaerobic digester. The system includes a heat recovery and steam power generation process for the production of electricity. The system produces a net output of electricity above plant load sufficient for the co-production of renewable Hydrogen and Oxygen. The process does not require the use of fossil fuels or fossil feedstocks during normal operations, and it eliminates combustion produced stack emissions or landfill residuals.

摘要: A direct carbonaceous material to power generation system integrates one or more solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) into a fluidized bed gasifier. The fuel cell anode is in direct contact with bed material so that the H2 and CO generated in the bed are oxidized to H2O and CO2 to create a push-pull or source-sink reaction environment. The SOFC is exothermic and supplies heat within a reaction chamber of the gasifier where the fluidized bed conducts an endothermic reaction. The products from the anode are the reactants for the reformer and vice versa. A lower bed in the reaction chamber may comprise engineered multi-function material which may incorporate one or more catalysts and reactant adsorbent sites to facilitate excellent heat and mass transfer and fluidization dynamics in fluidized beds. The catalyst is capable of cracking tars and reforming hydrocarbons.
