Abstract:
A resonant power converter comprising electrical safety components comprising a combination of a diodes and a zener diodes coupled between DC conductors and an auxiliary switching circuit, the diodes being adapted to hinder the current from flowing from the auxiliary switching circuit to the negative DC conductor, and the zener diodes being adapted to allow current to flow from the negative DC conductor to the auxiliary switching circuit when the potential difference between the negative DC conductor and the phase conductor is above a threshold voltage. The Zener diodes being selected such that the threshold voltage of the Zener diodes is below the maximum blocking voltage of the transistors.
Abstract:
The present disclosure attempts to improve performance of a semiconductor apparatus including a power transistor such as an IGBT. In a semiconductor apparatus, an IGBT module 110 includes IGBT elements SWa and SWb connected in parallel to each other, a resistor R1a connected to a gate terminal of the IGBT element SWa, and a diode D1a connected in parallel to the resistor R1a. In the diode D1a, a direction toward the gate terminal of the IGBT element SWa is a forward direction. With this configuration, it is possible to prevent gate oscillation and to improve switching characteristics.

Abstract:
A driver circuit for powering a load is disclosed. The driver circuit includes an input for receiving for connection to a source of AC power, and a rectifier for converting the AC power from the input into DC power. The driver circuit also include a voltage bus filter, a high-frequency oscillator for generating a high-frequency AC signal, a resonant driver, a feedback circuit, and a high-frequency DC rectifier. The voltage bus filter smoothens the DC power from the rectifier, and includes at least one capacitor. The resonant driver is in electrical communication with the high-frequency oscillator, and limits a current of the high-frequency AC signal and produces a limited output voltage based on the high-frequency AC signal. The feedback circuit is in electrical communication with the resonant driver and the voltage bus filter, and maintains a charge on the capacitor of the voltage bus filter.
