The memory stores instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the system to: generate subbands in a frequency domain based on a range-dependent time domain baseband signal, classify each subband into a subband type, select processing parameters for each subband based on the respective subband type, and process each of the subbands using the selected processing parameters for the subband.

Abstract: An image matching device includes a weight determination unit and a matching unit. Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-program products for fluid analysis and monitoring are disclosed. Embodiments include a removable and replaceable sampling system and an analytical system connected to the sampling system. A fluid may be routed through the sampling system and data may be collected from the fluid via the sampling system. The sampling system may process and transmit the data to the analytical system. The analytical system may include a command and control system to receive and store the data in a database and compare the data to existing data for the fluid in the database to identify conditions in the fluid. Fluid conditions may be determined using machine learning models that are generated from well-characterized known training data. Predicted fluid conditions may then be used to automatically implement control processes for an operating machine containing the fluid.

Abstract: A method of performing a complex Fourier transform of an input function including amplitude and phase information, including decomposing the input function into a plurality of sub-functions, wherein the Fourier transform of each sub-function includes an amplitude function and a phase function in which the phase is constrained to a plurality of possible phase values. The phase function of the Fourier transform of each sub-function is determined with an optical system that measures the amplitude function of an optical Fourier transform of the sub-function and changes in the amplitude function of the optical Fourier transform caused by applying a perturbation function to the sub-function. The determined phase functions and the measured amplitude functions are combined for each of the sub-functions to form the complex Fourier transform of the input function.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for embedding static information (such as serial numbers, etc.) on objects by modifying their exterior shape slightly, dubbed surface modulation. Data is embedded when the object is created and can then be read using readers with the appropriate resolution. According to one example of the disclosed technology, a method of embedding data expressed as a binary sequence onto an object surface includes establishing a coordinate system over an object surface, computing a transform of the coordinate system to a frequency domain, mapping the binary sequence to an integer value, replacing the highest frequency coefficient of the transform with the integer value, computing an inverse of the transform, producing a vector expressed in the coordinate system, and fabricating at least a portion of the object surface according to the vector.
