摘要: The present disclosure provides methods and compositions for determining whether a patient exhibiting acute gastroenteritis will benefit from treatment with therapeutic agents that inhibit Norovirus genogroup I (GI) or Norovirus genogroup II (GII). The methods disclosed herein are based on detecting Norovirus genogroup I (GI) and Norovirus genogroup II (GII) in a stool sample without extracting viral nucleic acids from a clinical specimen prior to performing real-time reverse transcription PCR. Kits for use in practicing the methods are also provided.

摘要: A bioaerosol detector is operated in accordance with one or more first inputs. Operating the bioaerosol detector includes filtering pathogens from the air, extracting genetic material from the filtered pathogens, and analyzing the extracted genetic material to identify the filtered pathogens. While operating the bioaerosol detector in accordance with the one or more first inputs, a change is identified in an operating condition for the bioaerosol detector. In response, the bioaerosol detector is operated in accordance with one or more second inputs. At least one input of the one or more second inputs is distinct from a respective input of the one or more first inputs.

摘要: Single-domain monoclonal antibodies that specifically bind Lassa virus glycoprotein (GPC) are described. The single-domain antibodies (“nanobodies”) were isolated from camel (VHH) and shark variable new antigen (VNAR) phage display libraries panned against a stabilized form of the GPC trimer. The GPC-specific nanobodies, and conjugates thereof, can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of a Lassa virus infection.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an N protein epitope mutation marker for preparing an epitope deletion-marked vaccine strain of type II porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and use thereof, belonging to the technical field of biological products. In the mutation marker, one or more amino acids are mutated based on an epitope sequence at positions 92 to 103 of a C-terminal of an N protein of the type II PRRSV; and the epitope mutation marker has an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 1, where X1 is selected from the group consisting of T, P, and A; and X2 is selected from the group consisting of V and A.

摘要: This invention provides a tomato zonate spot virus detection reagent. Optimized gene encoding N protein of TZSV is expressed and purified to obtain N protein of TZSV, and two specific hybridoma cell lines are obtained, from which specific anti-TZSV monoclonal antibody could be obtained, respectively. Test strip for detecting tomato zonate spot virus is prepared with the monoclonal antibody. It is proven by experiments that the test strip of this invention is specific for TZSV, and can realize rapid detection of TZSV in leaves and other samples, with high sensitivity and convenient operation.

Nucleic acids encoding these antibodies, vectors and host cells are also provided. Methods for detecting Ebola virususing the antibodies and antigen binding fragments are disclosed. The antibodies, antigen binding fragments, nucleic acids, and vectors, can be used, for example, to prevent and/or treat Ebola virusinfection in a subject.

摘要: Modified capsid proteins containing at least a portion of hepatitis E virus (HEV) open reading frame 2 (ORF2) having one or more cysteine residues in a surface variable loop or the C-terminus of HEV ORF2, or a portion thereof, are provided. The modified capsid proteins can be used to form hepatitis E virus (HEV) virus like particles (VLPs) having cysteine functional groups exposed on the outer-surface. The exposed cysteine functional groups can be modified via their thiol reactive group. For example, a bioactive agent, such as a cell-targeting ligand, can be conjugated to the one or more cysteines for targeted delivery of chemically activated nanocapsids.
