    摘要: A cylinder device includes a piston rod that is inserted into a cylinder so as to be movable back and forth. The piston rod has a rod portion that extends outside the cylinder, and a piston connected to an end portion of the rod portion, the piston moving in the cylinder in a slidable manner. The rod portion has a rod inner space formed in the rod portion, the rod inner space communicating with the piston-side chamber of the cylinder, a first communicating passage that connects the rod inner space and the rod-side chamber of the cylinder, and an orifice plug provided in the first communicating passage in a changeable manner. The piston is connected to the rod portion so as to cover a part of the orifice plug.

    摘要: A fastening method for fastening a nut to a bolt by screwing includes preparing a nut including a tool mounting portion formed on a seat surface, and an annular thin portion formed on the tool mounting portion opposite to the seat surface, swaging a plurality of places of the thin portion with punches from an outer circumferential direction, and flowing a thickness of the thin portion so as to extend to a front end of the bolt partially in a circumferential direction to be closely adhered to a screw portion of the bolt.

    摘要: A piston and cylinder type damper is provided having a cylinder (12) with a piston assembly (10) which is mounted for reciprocal linear movement therein. The piston assembly (10) divides the cylinder (12) into separate chambers with a restricted flow path extending therebetween for passage of damping fluid contained within it. A piston rod (11) is mounted for linear reciprocal movement with respect to the cylinder (12) and is arranged to engage the piston assembly (10) with abutting contact. The contact between the piston rod (11) and piston assembly (10) is arranged to be remote from the restricted flow path.

    摘要: A damping unit, such as a shock absorber, includes a cylinder (2), a piston (4) dividing the cylinder into a compression chamber 6 and a rebound chamber (8), and a piston rod (10). The rod extends from the piston through at least the rebound chamber. The compression chamber reduces in volume and the rebound chamber increases in volume as the damping unit contracts generating a compression flow across the piston, and the rebound chamber reduces in volume and the compression chamber increases in volume as the damping unit extends, generating a rebound flow across the piston. The piston has a compression chamber piston face and an annular rebound chamber piston face. At least one rebound restriction is provided in or on the piston, such as one or more rebound ports (26)/passages/valving (28), and at least one compression restriction, such as one or more compression ports 14/passages/valving (20) is provided in or on the piston. The rod has at least one channel (36) in an outer surface of the rod extending along a portion of the length of the rod towards/into the piston such that at least a portion of the rebound flow across the piston flows from the rebound chamber, along said at least one channel, through the rebound restriction into the compression chamber.
