Abstract: An attachment system and method that includes first and second fittings, a first eccentric bushing positioned within the first fitting, and a second eccentric bushing positioned within the second fitting. The system may include a first friction washer positioned between the first bushing and first fitting and a second friction washer positioned between the second bushing and the second fitting. A coating on the exterior of the friction washers prohibits rotation of the bushings with respect to the fittings. The coating may be a nickel-diamond coating that prohibits rotation even in the presence of a lubricant. The first fitting may be a frame fitting connected to a fuselage of an aircraft and the second fitting may be a beam fitting connected to the floor of the aircraft. The system may include lock plates that engage lock stops to prohibit rotation of the bushings in combination with the coated friction washers.

Abstract: Internally threaded device 10 includes a main body 11 having an internal thread portion 13 and a ring-like seat portion 12 disposed between the main body 11 and a member to be fastened 30. The main body 11 has a convex portion 15 and the ring-like seat portion 12 has a concave portion 16, the convex portion 15 and the concave portion 16 have a spherical zone with a center on an axis line. The radius of the spherical shape is set to allow the convex portion 15 and the concave portion 16 to slide earlier than the internal thread portion 13 when a load is applied between the main part 11 and the member 30 in a direction crossing the axial line L. Externally threaded device 40 and washer device 50 in similar structures prevent loosening of the engaged portion easily.

Abstract: An articulated mechanism and associated systems and methods therefore are disclosed. An example articulating mechanism within the scope of the disclosure includes a stud, a keyed washer having a plurality of threaded apertures, and a nut. The nut threadingly engages the stud. The nut includes a plurality of apertures segregated into a plurality of groups. A size of the apertures formed in the nut are larger than a size of the apertures formed in the keyed washer, resulting in an angular variation over which an aperture of the nut remains aligned with an aperture of the keyed washer. The apertures of the respective nut and washer are arranged such that at least one aperture of the nut aligns with an aperture of the keyed washer continuously throughout rotation of the nut relative to the keyed washer. The aligned apertures receive a fastener to secure the nut to the keyed washer.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a fitting assembly for receiving and restraining a stud.
