摘要: A vehicle power source includes: a generator coupled to an engine; a first power storage coupled to the generator; a second power storage coupled, in parallel with the first storage, to the generator, in which a terminal voltage of the second power storage is lower than a terminal voltage of the first power storage; and a charge and discharge controller that controls a generated voltage of the generator and controls charge and discharge of the first power storage. The charge and discharge controller raises the generated voltage to a voltage higher than the terminal voltage of the first power storage, to cause power supply from the generator to the first power storage. The charge and discharge controller lowers the generated voltage to a voltage lower than the terminal voltage of the first power storage, to cause power supply from the first power storage to an electric load.

摘要: A vehicle control apparatus mounted on a vehicle includes: a first starting system provided with a first electric motor coupled to an engine, and a first power storage coupled to the first electric motor; a second starting system provided with a second electric motor coupled to the engine, and a second power storage coupled to the second electric motor; and an engine controller that stops the engine based on a stop condition and restarts the engine using the first starting system, based on a start condition. When an abnormality occurs in the first starting system in a state where the engine has been stopped based on the stop condition, the engine controller restarts the engine using the second starting system.

摘要: An engine accessory drive (EAD) system for an engine includes a motor-generator (MGU) unit operably coupled to an accessory. The EAD system also includes a gearbox assembly, which includes a first gear train operably coupled to the MGU, and a second gear train operably coupled to an output of the engine. The gearbox assembly also includes a clutch selectively coupling the first gear train with a second gear train. The EAD system further includes a starter assembly, which includes a starter shaft operably coupled to the second gear train. The starter assembly also includes a starter pinion coupled to the starter shaft, and an actuator configured to selectively engage the starter pinion with a flywheel of the engine. Further yet, the EAD system includes an EAD controller configured to selectively operate the EAD system in one of a generator mode, an accessory drive mode, and a starter mode.

摘要: A method for fault-tolerant coasting control of a powertrain system having an engine and a first energy storage system (ESS) includes receiving a real impedance value of the first ESS from a frequency analyzer device at a calibrated frequency while the engine is running, and comparing the real impedance value to a calibrated impedance. A coasting maneuver is enabled allowing the engine to turn off above a threshold speed when the real impedance value is less than the calibrated impedance. The method may include starting the engine using a second ESS in parallel with the first ESS to exit the coasting maneuver when the real impedance value exceeds the calibrated impedance. Subsequent execution of the coasting maneuver may be prevented as long as the real impedance value exceeds the calibrated impedance. A powertrain system includes the engine, starter motor, rechargeable ESS, frequency analyzer, and controller.

摘要: A method for starting and operating an engine of a mild hybrid vehicle following start-up is disclosed for an engine having low and high voltage starting devices, and controlled by an electronic controller. The method comprises using the high voltage starting device as a motor to crank the engine whenever possible so as to partially discharge a high voltage battery. The method further comprises using the high voltage starting device as a generator after starting the engine if the exhaust gas temperature needs to be increased so as to assist with light-off of one or more exhaust gas after treatment devices.

摘要: A powertrain includes a first switching device transitionable between an open state disconnecting a first energy storage device from one of a motor-generator and an auxiliary electric system, and a closed state connecting the first energy storage device to one of the motor-generator and the auxiliary electric system. A second switching device is transitionable between an open state disconnecting a second energy storage device from one of the motor-generator and the auxiliary electric system, and a closed state connecting the second energy storage device to one of the motor-generator and the auxiliary electric system. A third switching device is transitionable between an open state disconnecting the auxiliary electric system from one of the motor-generator, and the first and second energy storage devices, and a closed state connecting the auxiliary electric system to one of the motor-generator, and the first and second energy storage devices.

摘要: A belt tension control device is mounted on a hybrid vehicle that is provided with an engine, a motor, a belt transmitting power between the engine and the motor, and tension changing means capable of changing tension applied to the belt. The belt tension control device is provided with control means for estimating a combustion torque relating to ignition start-up or a motor torque relating to the motor which is required to start the engine before the engine start-up and controlling the tension changing means to change the tension applied to the belt, based on the estimated motor torque before the engine is started, according to the estimated combustion torque so that torque to be transmitted to the engine from the motor is transmitted via the belt.
