摘要: The present disclosure relates to pressure relief and pressure regulating valves. More particularly, the disclosure relates to a miniature in-line fuel pressure regulator having a regulator body that includes a housing member and an adjusting member, a pin axially disposed within the regulator body, the pin including an upper end having a circumferential groove, a lower end having a fluid inlet, one or more fluid discharge ports, and a fluid passageway connecting the fluid inlet to the one or more fluid discharge ports, an elastomeric O-ring conformingly positioned within the circumferential groove on the upper end of the pin so that the elastomeric O-ring contacts the raised annular valve seat when the fluid pressure regulator is closed, and a biasing member coupled to the pin and configured to maintain the elastomeric O-ring in contact with the raised annular valve seat to control an opening pressure of the fluid pressure regulator.

摘要: A valve member is movable with first and second partition member and opens and closes a first pressure chamber with respect to a return passage. The first partition member partitions the first pressure chamber from a second pressure chamber. The second partition member partitions the second pressure chamber from a third pressure chamber. The first, second, and third pressure chambers cause fuel from a fuel flow passage to flow therethrough. A switching unit switches an opening and closing state of the second pressure chamber and the third pressure chamber with respect to the fuel flow passage and the return passage.

摘要: An automotive fuel pump having a body with an inlet, an outlet, and an elongated chamber therebetween. A relief valve, relief valve housing, and check valve are respectively disposed in the chamber between the inlet and the outlet. The relief valve housing has a portion which extends across the chamber so that a first axial end of the relief valve housing forms a valve seat for the check valve while the other axial end forms a valve seat for the relief valve. The check valve permits fluid flow from the body chamber to the outlet while the relief valve exhausts excess fluid pressure at the outlet back into the body chamber.

摘要: In a high-pressure pump, a relief valve main body has a rod shape. A relief valve seat portion is integrated with an end of a relief valve main body so as to be capable of contacting a relief valve seat. The relief valve main body is inserted into a guide hole portion of a support portion. The guide hole portion slidably supports an outer wall of the relief valve main body so as to guide a reciprocating movement of the relief valve main body in the axial direction. A fuel guide portion is provided at an end portion of the relief valve main body facing the pressurizing chamber and can guide a flow of the fuel in a direction radially outward of the relief valve main body on the way from the pressurizing chamber toward the valve seat portion.

摘要: An engine fuel system includes a fuel delivery system including a first fuel pump that is coupled to a pressure relief valve that is arranged in parallel with a second fuel pump. The first fuel pump is disposed to deliver pressurized fuel to the second fuel pump and the pressure relief valve, and the second fuel pump is disposed to deliver pressurized fuel to the fuel rail. A controller characterizes the first fuel pump to determine a relationship between a fuel pump speed and a fuel pump current at a setpoint pressure for the pressure relief valve. A feed-forward pump speed command is determined based upon a target fuel pressure and a fuel flowrate. A closed-loop pump speed is commanded based upon the characterization of the fuel pump. The first fuel pump is controlled to deliver fuel to the second fuel pump based thereon.

摘要: The pump delivered pressure is regulated to a substantially constant set value, and output flow is varied by an inlet metering valve (5) via feedback from the motion of, or flow from the spilled fuel through, a delivered pressure regulator (13, 19). The pressure regulating element can be biased to close a seal surface (12′) against flow from the outlet side of the pump (14) toward the inlet metering valve when the pump is turned off, thereby holding sufficient rail pressure to prevent boiling during hot soak conditions. In another aspect, a flow stabilization orifice (18) is provided between the outlet of the pump and the inlet metering valve, e.g., upstream of the pressure regulating element. In yet a further aspect, the inlet metering valve is hydraulically responsive (6, S, L) to changes in flow resulting from movement of the pressure responsive element (13).

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting operation of fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine to reduce injector ticking noise during direct injection fuel rail pressure release. The method includes first reducing a significant part of the direct injection fuel rail pressure via a mechanical high pressure pump relief valve and only if further pressure relief is required then intermittently activating the direct injector to inject in small amount of fuel. Due to the reduced frequency of activation and small pulse-widths, the impact force transmitted from injectors to cylinder head is small thereby reducing the objectionable ticking noise.

The low pressure fuel pump is configured to pump fuel to the high pressure fuel pump. A controller is operable to configure the low pressure fuel pump in a high mode at a first pump rate when the high pressure fuel pump is in a first configuration, and operable to configure the low pressure fuel pump in a low mode at a second pump rate when the high pressure fuel pump is in a second configuration different from the first configuration, the first pump rate is different from the second pump rate.
