摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and systems for measuring an injected fuel quantity during multipulse injection events in a common rail of a fuel system including a fuel pump to supply fuel to the common rail. The method, using a control unit, determines if each of the multipulse injection events in a normal operating condition includes a pilot pulse; in response to determining that the pilot pulse is included, obtaining an enforced separation value between the pilot pulse and the main pulse to emulate a single-pulse injection; while the fuel pump is temporarily shut off, performing a temporary enforced separation on a fraction of the multipulse injection events; measuring a pressure change in the common rail during the temporary enforced separation; and resuming the normal operating condition of the multipulse injection events after the pressure change is measured.

摘要: An estimation device that is applicable to a combustion system including an internal combustion engine includes a mixing acquisition unit, a combustion amount estimation unit, a region estimation unit, and a timing estimation unit. The mixing acquisition unit acquires a mixing ratio of various components contained in the fuel used for combustion in the internal combustion engine. The combustion amount estimation unit estimates a combustion amount of the fuel caused by a pilot combustion produced by injecting the fuel into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine with a pilot injection, based on the mixing ratio acquired by the mixing acquisition unit. The region estimation unit estimates a combustion region of the pilot combustion in the combustion chamber based on the mixing ratio. The timing estimation unit estimates an ignition timing, at which an ignition occurs in the combustion chamber with the pilot injection, based on the mixing ratio.

摘要: An internal combustion engine includes a plasma ignition system having an in-cylinder dielectric barrier-discharge igniter, and a direct-injection fuel injector having an in-cylinder fuel nozzle. The fuel nozzle protrudes into the combustion chamber proximal to the igniter. A controller operatively connects to the internal combustion engine, the plasma ignition system and the fuel injection system. The controller controls the internal combustion engine at an air/fuel ratio that is lean of stoichiometry. The fuel injector injects a first fuel pulse prior to activation of the igniter, and then the igniter initiates a plasma energy pulse. The fuel injector is controlled to inject a second fuel pulse during the plasma energy pulse.

摘要: A fuel injection device including an injector that injects fuel into a cylinder of an engine; a fuel injection amount obtaining unit that obtains a fuel injection amount of fuel injected by the injector; a heat generation amount obtaining unit that obtains a heat generation amount of the fuel injected by the injector and ignited; and a control unit that determines that injector abnormality occurs, when determining that a difference between a fuel injection amount obtained by the fuel injection amount obtaining unit and a reference fuel injection amount is within a predetermined range and that a heat generation amount obtained by the heat generation amount obtaining unit is greater than a reference heat generation amount corresponding to the reference fuel injection amount. Accordingly, whether or not injection hole corrosion occurs in the injector can be determined.

摘要: Autonomous diesel vehicles and control methods thereof are disclosed. An autonomous vehicle may include a peripheral information collecting unit configured to collect peripheral information necessary for autonomous travelling through an image camera and a laser scanner, a main control unit configured to control the autonomous travelling with reference to the peripheral information collected by the peripheral information collecting unit, a passenger monitoring unit configured to check whether a passenger exists inside the vehicle through a sensor and transmit a result of the check to the main control unit, and an engine control unit configured to control driving of an engine and injection of fuel of an injector according to a control instruction of the main control unit. When the passenger is inside the vehicle, the main control unit performs a pilot injection control, and when the passenger is not inside the vehicle, the main control unit omits the pilot injection control.
