摘要： Described herein are biological devices and methods for using the same to produce a polyactive carbohydrate. The biological devices include microbial cells transformed with a DNA construct containing genes for producing a chitin synthase, a chitosanase, and a chitin deacetylase. In some instances, the biological devices also include a gene for lipase. Methods for using the polyactive carbohydrate are also provided herein, including, but not limited to, enhancing the physiological properties of plants; medical applications; applications in the construction, materials science, and home goods industries; personal care, grooming, cosmetics, and oral care compositions containing the polyactive carbohydrate; methods for water decontamination; and the production of polyurethanes.

摘要： A method of producing a sugar liquid from a cellulose-containing biomass includes (1) hydrolyzing a cellulose-containing biomass using a filamentous fungus-derived cellulose and carrying out solid-liquid separation into a sugar liquid and a hydrolysis residue; (2) washing the hydrolysis residue in (1) using an aqueous alkaline solution and an aqueous inorganic salt solution independently and recovering, as a washing liquid, the filamentous fungus-derived cellulase adsorbed to the hydrolysis residue; and (3) filtering the washing liquid in (2) through an ultrafiltration membrane to recover a sugar liquid as a permeate and the filamentous fungus-derived cellulase as a non-permeate.

The disclosure also provides methods for the conversion of cellulose and hemicellulose into fermentable sugars using thermostable enzymes of the disclosure. The disclosure also provides enzyme cocktails containing multiple enzymes disclosed herein. The enzymes can be used to release sugars present in cellulose or hemicellulose for subsequent fermentation to produce value-added products.
