Abstract: A method for removing heavy hydrocarbons from a feed gas by: feeding, into an absorber, a top reflux stream and a second reflux stream below the top reflux stream, wherein the absorber produces an absorber bottom product stream and an absorber overhead product stream; depressurizing and feeding the absorber bottom product stream to a stripper to produce a stripper bottom product stream and a stripper overhead product stream; cooling and feeding a portion of the absorber overhead product stream back to the absorber as the top reflux stream; and pressurizing and feeding the stripper overhead stream back to the absorber as the second reflux stream. A system for carrying out the method is also provided.

Abstract: A multi-stage membrane system is provided to separate helium from a gas stream such as a natural gas stream. There are at least two permeate streams from a first membrane module. One of the permeate streams is compressed and sent to a second membrane module while one of the permeate streams bypasses the compressor. There are control means provided to determine the flow for these two permeate streams based on factors including the compressor capacity, the concentration of the target component in the combined permeate streams and the capacity of the second membrane module.

Abstract: A method for gas separation, purification and clarification by FTrPSA uses the temperature and pressure of different raw gases as well as the differences in adsorption separation coefficients and physicochemical properties among all components in the raw gases at a temperature range of −80-200° C. and a pressure range of 0.03-4.0 Mpa, regulates the adsorption or desorption regeneration operation in the PSA cycle process by coupling various separation methods, and expands the adsorption theory that the PSA or TSA separation process is limited to the cyclic operation of adsorption and desorption regeneration through pressure or temperature changes, thus realizing the gradient utilization of energy in the process of gas separation, purification and clarification as well as the easy-to-match and easy-to-balance cyclic operation of adsorption and desorption regeneration in the process of intercooling & shallow-cooling and medium & high-temperature PSA separation to separate, purify and clarify various raw gases.

Abstract: A natural gas processing system is mounted on a mobile platform that is transported to a natural gas source, such as a well. A liquid removal tank separates liquid contaminants from the gas. A particulate filter removes particulates from the gas. A membrane separates the natural gas into a retentate gas and a permeate gas. A gas compressor, powered by the natural gas, is selectively connected either upstream of the membrane or downstream of the membrane. For low pressure source gas, the upstream connection will compress the natural gas before entering the membrane. For high pressure source gas, the downstream connection will compress the natural gas after exiting the membrane. An electrical generator and an air compressor are provided. A process control is connected to all the valves in the system, all instruments, the gas compressor, the electrical generator, and the air compressor. The process control monitors and controls the natural gas processing system.
