    Abstract: In view of the fact that a methyl vinyl ether, which is useful as a starting material for the synthesis of tetraalkoxypropane useful as a skeleton-forming agent having a high reactivity usable as a starting material, etc. for a pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates such as a pyrazole derivative or pyrimidine derivative, particularly 1,1,3,3-tetramethoxypropane, is in a gaseous state and difficult to use for industrial production, tetraalkoxypropane useful as a skeleton-forming agent for a pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediate such as a pyrazole derivative or pyrimidine derivative is easily produced on an industrial scale by using the industrially useable propoxyvinyl ether, as a starting material, without using a gaseous state methyl vinyl ether.

    Abstract: The reaction of a polyfluorocarbonyl compound such as a polyfluoroketone or polyfluorocarboxylic acid fluoride with fluoride ion and a polyfluoroallyl chloride, bromide or fluorosulfate produces a polyfluoroallyloxy compound, e.g., CF.sub.2 .dbd.CFCF.sub.2 OCF.sub.2 CF.sub.3. The polyfluoroallyloxy compounds copolymerize with ethylenically unsaturated monomers such as tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene or vinylidene fluoride to form polymers which are moldable, and in some cases electrically conducting or are water-wettable and dyeable.

    Abstract: Liquid crystal mixtures having positive anisotropy of the dielectric constants which comprise a nematogenic mixture with a clearing point above 60.degree. C. which is doped with an organic solvent or solvent mixture with a specific resistance of at least 10.sup.7 Ohm.cm. as well as a dipole moment along the longitudinal axis of the molecule of less than 3.5 Debye, or with a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.14 and R.sub.15 are straight-chain alkyl containing a total of not more than 14 carbon atoms or R.sub.14 is straight-chain alkyl and R.sub.15 is straight-chain alkoxy containing a total of not more than 8 carbon atoms,or a compound of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.16 and R.sub.17 are straight-chain alkyl containing a total of not more than 6 carbon atoms,or a compound of the formula ##STR3## wherein R.sub.16 and R.sub.17 are straight-chain alkyl containing a total of not more than 6 carbon atoms,or mixtures thereof, are described.
