摘要: An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator propulsion device includes at least one drive member configured to engage and climb along a vertical structure, a motor module including at least one motor configured to cause movement of the drive member and corresponding movement of an elevator cab, and a power supply including at least one energy source that is configured to provide power to the motor. The power supply is situated adjacent the motor module such that a mass of the at least one energy source provides a noise barrier to reduce transmission of noise from the motor into the elevator cab.

摘要: A drive device of an elevator includes a frequency converter to be connected to a public AC supply network and an elevator motor. The frequency converter includes a network rectifier configured to be connected to the AC supply network, a motor bridge to be connected to the elevator motor and a DC intermediate circuit located between the network rectifier and the motor bridge. The motor bridge is controlled by a control circuit which feeds the motor bridge with control pulses to regulate the motor speed. The drive device further includes at least one drive prevention circuit connected between the control circuit and the motor bridge. The drive prevention circuit is configured to obtain a safety signal from an elevator safety circuit includes two separate safety input circuits each configured to be connected to the elevator safety circuit to receive a safety signal. Each of the safety input circuits is configured to interrupt the connection between the control circuit and the motor bridge in response to the safety signal status.

摘要: A permanent magnet (PM) synchronous electric motor(34) includes a plurality of phases, and a plurality of motor drives(55,58) electrically connected to the PM synchronous electric motor. Each of the motor drives is operatively connected to a corresponding one of the plurality of phases. The plurality of motor drives is configured and disposed to deliver a torque current divided equally between each of the plurality of phases and independently deliver flux current to the corresponding one of the plurality of phases. A controller(44) is operatively connected to each of the plurality of motor drives to selectively control the PM synchronous electric motor, and a rescue module(120) operatively connected to the controller, the rescue module being configured and disposed to determine a failure of one of the plurality of motor drives and control the PM synchronous electric motor in a reduced operation profile employing remaining ones of the plurality of motor drives.

摘要: An elevator may include an elevator car, a set of hoisting ropes, a hoisting machine, a traction sheave, and a brake. The elevator car may be suspended on the hoisting ropes. The hoisting machine may drive the traction sheave to move the elevator car using the hoisting ropes. The brake may include a brake wheel and brake shoes. The brake may exert an effect on rotation of the traction sheave. During braking, the effect of the brake on the rotation of the traction sheave may depend on a direction of rotation of the traction sheave. The effect of the brake on the rotation of the traction sheave may be greater when the direction of rotation of the traction sheave during braking corresponds to the elevator car moving downward than when the direction of rotation of the traction sheave during braking corresponds to the elevator car moving upward.
