摘要： A chromium-free surface-treated metal sheet includes a metal sheet, a surface-treatment coating that contains a polycarboxylic acid type polymer and a zirconium compound and that is formed on at least one surface of the metal sheet, and a coating that contains a polyester resin, a phenol resin and an acid catalyst and that is formed on the surface-treatment coating. The surface-treated metal sheet can be used for producing cans and can lids maintaining excellent dent resistance even for acidic beverages, without permitting the organic resin film formed on the coating to be peeled even under high-temperature and wet environments during a sterilization treatment or the like, and maintaining excellent hot water-resistant adhering property.

[Solution] The polyester resin-coated metal sheet of the present invention includes a metal sheet, and a non-oriented polyester resin formed of a plurality of layers provided on at least one surface of the metal sheet. A surface layer and an adjacent layer in contact with the surface layer, of the plurality of layers, have a difference therebetween in melting temperature of not less than 10° C., and a difference in tensile stress at an elongation of 250% under an environmental temperature of 70° C. of less than 3 MPa in tensile tests in a single-layer film state corresponding to each layer, and the surface layer contains fine particles.

The bail has a handle generally at the apex and a hook extending generally outwardly from the bail generally near the apex of the bail for hanging the container with the mouth facing generally upward. One sidewall has a handle generally adjacent the bottom wall and a hook generally adjacent the handle extending generally outwardly and upwardly from the sidewall for hanging the container with the mouth facing generally downward.
