Abstract: A shroud assembly mounts a radiator to a vehicle frame. The shroud assembly includes a shroud, a first frame bracket for mounting the shroud to the vehicle frame, and a second frame bracket for mounting the shroud to the vehicle frame. The shroud includes a first shroud portion and a second shroud portion. The first shroud portion has an opening for receiving a fan. The second shroud portion has an opening for receiving a fan. The first mounting bracket connects the first shroud portion to the second shroud portion, and the second mounting bracket also connects the first shroud portion to the second shroud portion.

Abstract: An improved radiator mounting and cooling system for use in automobiles allows multiple components to be incorporated into the same unit, limiting the need for accessories to be mounted to inner fenders or firewall. A circulating vortex of air is pulled through a front grill and vortex tubes disposed through sides of the radiator system to improve cooling efficiency. An outer shroud protects interior components and creates a sealed core cavity allowing air to only enter through vortex tubes and front grill and exit through a rear grill. A self-circulating cooling system provides additional cooling of coolant. A fan system pulls around 5000 CFM of air through the core cavity. An optional secondary coolant pumping system allows coolant to be pumped when needed. A control system controls activation of the fan system and secondary coolant pumping system based on signals from sensors.

Abstract: An electric vehicle includes a chassis, a battery in a battery compartment supported by the chassis and a dual underside battery cooling system to transfer heat from the battery by drawing hot air from the battery compartment via air outlets. The dual underside battery cooling system includes a left fan for generating a left airflow along a left underside path of the vehicle and a right fan for generating a right airflow along a right underside path of the vehicle, the left and right airflows expelling the hot air from the battery compartment toward a rear of the vehicle. The processor independently controls the left fan and the right fan to selectively generate a differential downforce on left and right wheels of the vehicles when cornering to thereby compensate for centrifugal roll and to generate an equal downforce on the left and right wheels when accelerating in a straight line.

Abstract: An Environmental Control System (ECS) for an aircraft includes a ram air system having a ram inlet and a ram outlet. The ECS includes a cabin air compressor motor, a diverter valve, and a dedicated outlet. The cabin air compressor motor has a motor inlet passage and a motor outlet passage with the motor inlet passage being coupled to the ram inlet. The diverter valve includes a first diverter inlet, a first diverter outlet, and a second diverter outlet. The first diverter inlet is coupled to the motor outlet passage. The dedicated outlet is connected to the first diverter outlet in a flight mode of operation of the aircraft and the ram outlet is connected to the second diverter outlet in a ground mode of operation of the aircraft.

Abstract: A recreational off-highway vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll cage. Grab handles are positioned on the sides of the passenger seat. Select large round tubing protects the vehicle, while rectangular tubing frames the portions of the vehicle beneath body panels. The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that is connected to a transaxle. A radiator is positioned above the engine. A cover with an access panel is situated between the engine and the passenger seats. The vehicle is suited for rough terrain travel.
