摘要: A suspension strut assembly comprises a suspension strut 10 formed by a strut housing 10a having first and second ends and an outer surface, and a strut rod 10b which is telescopically engaged in the first end of the strut housing 10a. A thread 11a is formed on a sleeve 11 which is slideably engaged on the outside of the strut housing 10a. An anti-roll bar collar 13 is screwingly engaged on the outer surface of the strut housing 10a. The collar 13 has a plate 13a extending outwardly thereof for engaging with an anti-roll bar. An annular spring seat 14 is also screwingly engaged on the outer surface of the strut housing 10b between the collar 13 and the first end of the strut housing 10a. The collar 13 and spring seat 14 are each windable along the housing 10a to vary their longitudinal positions on the housing 10a.

摘要: In some embodiments, a rapid-response active suspension system controls suspension force and position for improving vehicle safety and drivability. The system may interface with various sensors that detect safety critical vehicle states and adjust the suspension of each wheel to improve safety. Pre-crash and collision sensors may notify the active suspension controller of a collision and the stance may be adjusted to improve occupant safety during an impact while maintaining active control of the wheels. Wheel forces may also be controlled to improve the effectiveness of vehicle safety systems such as ABS and ESP in order to improve traction. Also, bi-directional information may be communicated between the active suspension system and other vehicle safety systems such that each system may respond to information provided to the other.

摘要: An active damper is provided for a motor vehicle including a sprung mass, an unsprung mass coupled thereto and at least one wheel and tire combination coupled to the unsprung mass such that road terrain movement acting on the at least one wheel and tire combination along a z-axis induces movement of the unsprung mass along the z-axis which, in turn, induces movement of the sprung mass along the z-axis. The active damper may include a housing configured to be mounted to the unsprung mass, a damper mass received within the housing and movable relative to the housing, and an actuator configured to be responsive to a drive signal to cause the damper mass to move within the housing so as to cancel, or at least reduce, movement of the unsprung mass resulting from the road terrain movement.

摘要: Systems, methods, and apparatus for acoustic inspection of a surface are described. An example system may include an inspection robot structured to traverse an inspection surface in a direction of travel. The inspection robot may include a payload having a plurality of arms, connected to the inspection robot, to rotate around respective ones of a plurality of axes while the inspection robot traverses the inspection surface, where each of the plurality of axes is in the direction of travel. A plurality of sleds may be connected to the plurality of arms, and a plurality of inspection sensors connected to the plurality of sleds. The plurality of inspection sensors may be spaced apart from each other at adjustable positions to inspect the inspection surface at an adjustable resolution.

摘要: A system including an inspection robot having a plurality of sensors, a further sensor, and a controller. The controller having circuitry to receive inspection data with a first resolution from the plurality of sensors, determine a characteristic on the inspection surface based on the inspection data, and provide an inspection operation adjustment in response to the characteristic, wherein the inspection operation adjustment includes a change from the first resolution to a second resolution. The change from the first resolution to the second resolution includes enabling the further sensor where the further sensor is at least one of: horizontally distributed with or vertically displaced from the plurality of sensors relative to a travel path of the plurality of sensors, and at least one of: offset in alignment from the travel path of the plurality of sensors, or operated out of phase with the plurality of sensors.

摘要: An electromagnetic suspension device includes: an electromagnetic actuator which is disposed side by side with a spring member provided between a body and a wheel of a vehicle and which produces a driving force for damping operation and extending and contracting operation; an information acquisition unit which acquires the stroke position of the electromagnetic actuator; and an ECU which sets a target damping force and a target stretching force and controls a driving force of the electromagnetic actuator by using a target driving force based on the set target damping force and target stretching force. When the stroke position acquired by the information acquisition unit is in an end region close to a stroke end, the ECU corrects the target driving force such that the stroke position shifts from the end region toward a neutral region.
