    摘要: The present invention lies in the field of the industrial manufacturing of cast parts and relates to an apparatus and method for the automated production of parts of this type having very fine surface structures, particularly concentrator lens panels, which contain at least one, preferably annular, stepped region as per Fresnel lenses. Handling during the production of the lens panels is difficult, inter alia, because after the curing operation, on account of relatively large adhesion forces or cohesion forces, the mould is removable in a precisely reproducible manner from the product or from the system only with difficulty. It is the object of the present invention to provide a method and an apparatus for the automated production of concentrator lens panels. This is achieved in that a die containing an upper plate (8) and a lower plate (1) initially holds the mould (6) in a precisely defined manner on the upper plate, and the deformable material mass (3) lying on a glass or plastics plate (2) rests in a precisely positioned manner on the lower plate, and then the upper and lower plates are moved together leaving an intermediate space which is evacuated, and the entire sandwich packet is then joined together, kept in a pressed manner and heated until the material is firm. Specially designed securing means (13) then ensure that the sandwich packet can be undone in a reproducible manner and the mould (6) can be separated from the product (9) in a defined manner.

    摘要: A mold apparatus and method for manufacturing panels having, as desired, one or more areas of reduced material comprising a facing sheet and integrally attached cell forming walls extending in roughly perpendicular fashion from the facing sheet. Additionally, a method for molding panels, including large scale panels, from thermoplastic resins and other moldable materials requiring significantly less energy than other known molding methods, and providing for panels having one or more areas exhibiting continuous outer surfaces on all dimensions. A lower negative mold member has a plurality of upwardly facing positive standoffs defining interstitial channels into which thermoplastic resin or other moldable material is filled. A generally planar upper mold member is placed on the lower mold, and the combined mold assembly is then subjected to elevated heat and pressure, allowing said thermoplastic resin or other moldable material to melt within the interstitial spaces of the lower mold member. After cooling, upper and lower mold members are separated, and a molded panel structure is removed therefrom.

    摘要: A thermoplastic mold for creating large sheets of building materials from recycled plastic. The mold is adapted to be used with a platen press, and has an adjustment feature for defining a mold cavity of a selected thickness. A pair of shims are preferably used to establish the mold cavity, wherein the cavity has a depth identical to the thickness of the shims. The top member or lid of the mold has an integrally defined passageway for allowing a cooling fluid to be circulated therethrough to cool the mold after a molding process. In the one embodiment, the lid has a pair of flanges extending over and engaging the shims, and an alternative embodiment the lid comprises a rectangular plate having handles defined at selected locations in the upper surface for facilitating removal of the lid from a mold recess. The sheets can be colored on one or both sides by inserting a thin sheet of colored thermoplastic material in the mold prior to pressing.

The plates are made of iron or preferably of a light metal, such as aluminum and aluminum alloys, and are constructed of a frame, plates and dividers secured together by epoxy resin to form a sealed flow passageway. Means are arranged to equalize the pressure in the flow passageway and the pressure in the casting chamber of the apparatus.
