Abstract: According to embodiments, a method of producing a catalyst composition may include forming a slurry including an initial zeolite material, a surfactant, silica, and metal precursors, wherein the metal precursors contain a nickel-containing compound and a silver-containing compound, extruding the slurry to produce an extrudate, drying and calcining the extrudate to form a dried and calcined extrudate, hydrothermally treating the dried and calcined extrudate to form a hydrothermally-treated extrudate, and drying and calcining the hydrothermally-treated extrudate to produce the catalyst composition, wherein the catalyst composition includes zeolite, one or more oxides of nickel, and one or more oxides of silver.

Abstract: Process for the preparation of a catalyst by adding, clay, boehmite, a first silica to form a slurry, digesting the slurry with a monoprotic acid to a pH of less than 4, adding one or more zeolites, adding a rare earth component to the slurry and mixing, adjusting the slurry pH to below 4 with monoprotic acid, adding a second silica anywhere in the preceding steps, destabilizing the slurry by raising the pH, shaping and collecting the resulting catalyst, wherein the resulting catalyst has enhanced mesoporosity.

Abstract: Process for the preparation of a catalyst and a catalyst comprising the use of more than one silica source is provided herein. Thus, in one embodiment, the invention provides a particulate FCC catalyst comprising about 5 to about 60 wt % one or more zeolites, about 15 to about 35 wt % quasicrystalline boehmite (QCB), about 0 to about 35 wt % microcrystalline boehmite (MCB), greater than about 0 to about 15 wt % silica from sodium stabilized basic colloidal silica, greater than about 0 to about 30 wt % silica from acidic colloidal silica or polysilicic acid, and the balance clay and the process for making the same. This process results in attrition resistant catalysts with a good accessibility.

Abstract: A catalytic cracking catalyst contains 10-70 wt % of a cracking active component, 10-60 wt % of a binder and 10-70 wt % of a clay. The cracking active component has 5-100 wt % of a first Y-type molecular sieve and 0-95 wt % of a second molecular sieve. The first Y-type molecular sieve is a modified molecular sieve based on the crystal modification of kaolin and has the sodium oxide content of less than 2 wt %. The process for preparing the catalyst includes the steps of vigorously mixing and stirring a cracking active component comprising a modified molecular sieve based on the crystal modification of kaolin, a binder and a clay with water; spray drying; washing; filtering; and drying. The catalyst is used in the catalytic cracking reaction of heavy oils, and has a good coke selectivity, as well as a higher heavy oil conversion rate.

Abstract: SCR-active molecular-sieve based catalysts with improved low-temperature performance are made by heating a molecular-sieve in a non-oxidizing atmosphere with steam (hydrothermal treatment), or in a reducing atmosphere without steam (thermal treatment), at a temperature in the range of 600-900° C. for a time period from 5 minutes to two hours. The resulting SCR-active iron-containing molecular sieves exhibit a selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides with NH3 or urea at 250° C. that is at least 50% greater than if the iron-containing molecular-sieve were calcined at 500° C. for two hours without performing the hydrothermal or thermal treatment.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an additive and a catalyst composition for a catalytic cracking process of vacuum gas oil for preparing cracked run naphtha having reduced liquid olefin content, and increased propylene and butylene yields in the LPG fraction. The process makes use of a catalyst composition which is a mixture of an FCC equilibrated catalyst and an additive comprising a zeolite, phosphorus and a combination of metal promoters. The process is successful in achieving high propylene and butylene yields in the LPG fraction along with a lower liquid olefin content and increased aromatic content with increase in RON unit in the resultant cracked run naphtha, as compared to that achieved using an FCC equilibrated catalyst alone.
