摘要: Embodiments of the invention pertain to cartridges, systems and methods for performing hemodialysis and related extracorporeal blood treatment modalities and therapies, in which blood flows in the inter fiber space and dialysate flows in the lumens of hollow fibers. Appropriate connectors and fitting orientations may be provided. There may be provided orbital distributors, fanning of fibers, and features to promote uniformity of fiber spacing in the fiber bundle. Orbital distributors may contain contoured surfaces, flow redirectors, non-uniform-conductance flow elements, through-wall distributors, and other features. There may be subdivision of the fiber bundle into two groups of fibers with separate control fluid to each group. Appropriate systems may be provided for various therapies. Flow past the fibers may be parallel, transverse or other configuration. These various features may enable long-term application to all dialysis and ultrafiltration related therapies, and also to other therapies and to applications including implantables, portables and wearables.

摘要: A process for producing nitrogen-rich air by feeding high temperature air at 150° C. or more to an air separation membrane module is described. After being placed at 175° C. for two hours, the air separation module exhibits a shape-retention ratio of 95% or more in one embodiment. The nitrogen-rich air can be fed to a fuel tank for an aircraft, for example.

摘要: A gas separation module and assembly for housing ceramic tubular membranes. The module includes a plurality of tubes containing the ceramic tubular membranes. The tubes are arranged parallel to one another and are supported by tube sheet plates at each end. Gas-tight seals surround each membrane, preventing a feed gas and a residue gas within the inner lumen of the membrane from mixing with a permeate gas in the tube interior. The module also contains a gas distribution pipe for withdrawing the permeate gas out of, or introducing a sweep gas into, the module. This configuration allows for ceramic tubular membranes to be modularized for use in an assembly that carries out many types of gas separations.

摘要: Disclosed are a method and a membrane module for the separation of oxygen from air during biomass gasification. The method comprises employing a membrane module as disclosed herein and using gas exiting the membrane module to heat incoming fresh air, more than 50% of heat energy contained in the gas exiting the membrane module being utilized to preheat the fresh air. The fresh air is further heated to a temperature of from 800° C. to 900° C. by directly feeding combustion gas or synthesis gas from the biomass gasification into a combustion space of the membrane module.

摘要: A vertical pressurized immersion membrane filtration system includes at least one pressure vessel/tank and at least one layer of membrane modules sealed therein. Every layer has at least two parallel membrane modules, with space left between the membrane module and the pressure vessel/tank. The upper and lower ends of every membrane module have plates and the upper and lower membrane modules are hermetically connected. The plates separate the space in the pressure vessel/tank into two sealed end compartments and a middle compartment. The membrane module includes interior membrane fibers and an outer perforated supporting cylinder surrounding the membrane fibers. The pressure vessel/tank has end and middle water inlets/outlets. The pressure vessel/tanks are parallel. The multiple membrane modules work simultaneously, effectively increasing filtration efficiency. The filtration system can work in multiple operation modes, improving applicability thereof.

摘要: Disclosed is a hollow fiber membrane module. The hollow fiber membrane module includes a housing including a first fluid inlet, a first fluid outlet, a second fluid inlet and a second fluid outlet, and hollow fiber membrane bundles, each hollow fiber membrane bundle including a plurality of hollow fiber membranes, disposed within the housing so that a first fluid flows inside the hollow fiber membranes and a second fluid flows outside the hollow fiber membranes, and each hollow fiber membrane bundle further includes porous tubes having both ends closed and including a plurality of pores formed on the side surfaces thereof. The hollow fiber membrane module removes a region, into which a fluid flowing outside a hollow fiber membrane bundle has difficulty in permeating, thus allowing the fluid to uniformly flow. Therefore, even if hollow flow membranes are highly integrated, performance of the hollow fiber membrane module may be maximized.
