    Abstract: A ball valve and a method for fabricating this ball valve wherein a ball seat, formed of a synthetic resin, is mounted at each end of a flow passage in a ball of the valve. A sealing end portion of the ball seat contacts the spherical surface of the ball only in the closed position of the ball. In the open position, the lip falls within a recess surrounding the end of the flow passage in the ball. A gap of 0.3 to 0.7 mm is formed, in the open position, between the wall surface of the recess and the end of the lip. The end of the lip should fall, in the open position of the ball, about 0.2 mm inside an imaginary continuation of the surface of the ball at the recess.

    Abstract: A ball valve is provided which comprises a valve body formed from a tubular member with a cylindrical hole extending therethrough, a stem having one end thereof projecting into the hole, and a ball fixed to an end of the stem. The ball has a circular bore extending diametrically therethrough, wherein the ball is spherical in shape with removed chordal segments corresponding to the bore. A seat carrier is inserted in the hole, the seat carrier having one end adjacent the ball, a connecting sleeve contacts the seat carrier at the other end thereof opposite the end adjacent the ball, and a union nut couples the connecting sleeve to the valve body. Diametrically opposed projections are provided on the inner surface of the valve body, the projections extending into the hole, recesses formed on the side of the seat carrier adjacent the one end thereof, and diametrically opposed grooves are formed in the side of the seat carrier adjacent the recesses. The grooves extend in the circumferential direction from the adjacent recesses. When the seat carrier is inserted into the valve body and rotated therein, the projections on the valve body engage the grooves in the seat carrier to thereby hold the seat carrier in the valve body. Further, a flange is formed on the other end of the seat carrier wherein one of the flange and valve body includes at least one projection and the other of the flange and valve body includes at least one cavity. The projection is engaged in the cavity to prevent the rotation of the seat carrier with respect to the valve body.

    Abstract: A ball valve and a method for fabricating this ball valve wherein a ball seat, formed of a synthetic resin, is mounted at each end of a flow passage in a ball of the valve. A sealing end portion of the ball seat contacts the spherical surface of the ball only in the closed position of the ball.     Abstract: A ball valve is provided which comprises a valve body formed from a tubular member with a cylindrical hole extending therethrough, a stem having one end thereof projecting into the hole, and a ball fixed to an end of the stem. The ball has a circular bore extending diametrically therethrough, wherein the ball is spherical in shape with removed chordal segments corresponding to the bore. A seat carrier is inserted in the hole, the seat carrier having one end adjacent the ball, a connecting sleeve contacts the seat carrier at the other end thereof opposite the end adjacent the ball, and a union nut couples the connecting sleeve to the valve body. Diametrically opposed projections are provided on the inner surface of the valve body, the projections extending into the hole, recesses formed on the side of the seat carrier adjacent the one end thereof, and diametrically opposed grooves are formed in the side of the seat carrier adjacent the recesses. The grooves extend in the circumferential direction from the adjacent recesses. When the seat carrier is inserted into the valve body and rotated therein, the projections on the valve body engage the grooves in the seat carrier to thereby hold the seat carrier in the valve body. Further, a flange is formed on the other end of the seat carrier wherein one of the flange and valve body includes at least one projection and the other of the flange and valve body includes at least one cavity. The projection is engaged in the cavity to prevent the rotation of the seat carrier with respect to the valve body.

    Abstract: A semiconductor memory device comprises: a write circuit including a latch circuit configured by two inverters having a positive side power supply terminal supplied with a first voltage and a negative side power supply terminal supplied with a second voltage; and a write state machine controlling the first and second voltages. When writing data to a memory cell, the first voltage is changed to a second value that is lower than a first value. When writing data to a memory cell, the second voltage is changed to a third value that is lower than the second value. The write state machine lowers the second voltage to an intermediate value between the second value and the third value and, while maintaining this intermediate value, lowers the first voltage from the first value to the second value.
