摘要: The wet adhesion of a coating composition may be improved through the use of voided latex particles as opacifying agents which contain a hollow interior as well as an outer shell of a polymer containing functional groups such as amino, 1,3-diketo, urea or ureido. Other types of functional groups may be introduced to the outer shell polymer in order to vary other desired characteristics of the coating. The voided latex particles are non-film-forming.

摘要: A chemical agent resistant coating composition can include a fluoropolymer, a dispersible acrylic resin, a flatting agent, and a hydrophobic additive. The coating composition can include at least 10 weight % of the flatting agent based on the total solids weight of the coating composition, and the flatting agent can include ground fiberglass, a hyperbranched (meth)acrylic resin, and an additional flatting agent. The hydrophobic additive can include a wax. When the composition is applied to a substrate and cured as a coating, the coating has an 85° gloss of less than 3.5, a water contact angle of greater than 80°, and desorbs a maximum of 180 micrograms of bis(2-chloroethyl) sulfide and a maximum of 40 micrograms of O-pinacolyl methylphosphonofluoridate, according to testing under MIL-PRF-32348. A method of preparing chemical agent resistant coating compositions and substrates at least partially coated with the chemical agent resistant coating compositions are also disclosed.

摘要: Metal nanowires with uniform noble metal coatings are described. Two methods, galvanic exchange and direct deposition, are disclosed for the successful formation of the uniform noble metal coatings. Both the galvanic exchange reaction and the direct deposition method benefit from the inclusion of appropriately strong binding ligands to control or mediate the coating process to provide for the formation of a uniform coating. The noble metal coated nanowires are effective for the production of stable transparent conductive films, which may comprise a fused metal nanostructured network.

摘要: Photoresist topcoat compositions, comprising: a first polymer that is aqueous base soluble and is present in an amount of from 70 to 99 wt % based on total solids of the composition; a second polymer comprising a repeat unit of general formula (IV) and a repeat unit of general formula (V): wherein: R5 independently represents H, halogen atom, C1-C3 alkyl, or C1-C3 haloalkyl; R6 represents linear, branched or cyclic C1 to C20 fluoroalkyl; R7 represents linear, branched or cyclic C1 to C20 fluoroalkyl; L3 represents a multivalent linking group; and m is an integer of from 1 to 5; wherein the second polymer is free of non-fluorinated side chains; and wherein the second polymer is present in an amount of from 1 to 30 wt % based on total solids of the composition and a solvent. The invention finds particular applicability in the manufacture of semiconductor devices.

摘要: Plastisol compositions having a two-resin interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) are disclosed. The compositions begin with blocked isocyanate grafted acrylic polymer, blocked isocyanate urethane prepolymer, plasticizer, optionally pigment, and optionally thixotropic agent. When subjected to a thermal cure, the isocyanate groups on the acrylic polymer and urethane prepolymer both become unblocked and both react with the crosslinking agent to form an interpenetrating acrylic-polyurethane network. The two-resin IPN offers improved storage stability, hand-feel characteristics, and processing properties for textile printing among other uses. Preferably these plastisol compositions are essentially free of polyvinyl halides and phthalates restricted for regulatory reasons.

The color coating composition is capable of increasing durability and a life of an LED lamp, satisfactorily maintaining an external appearance and a lighting quality thereof for a long time, and realizing various colors, by manufacturing a glass-made diffuser as a means for diffusing light of the LED lamp in a manner of coating the diffuser on various sheets of transparent or translucent glass such as tubes and bulbs so that the diffuser is not deformed and discolored due to light and heat, and has high strength and translucency.
