    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes first to fourth pixel electrodes neighbored each other in a first direction, a common electrode at least partially overlapping the first to fourth pixel electrodes, and a first data line and a second data line extended in a second direction different from the first direction, and neighbored each other where the first data line is interposed between the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode, the second data line is interposed between the third pixel electrode and the fourth pixel electrode, and at least one slit defined in the common electrode is interposed between the second pixel electrode and the third pixel electrode.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate (FS) on which pixel regions are defined, a second substrate (SS) facing the FS, an alignment film disposed on a surface of the FS facing the SS, a wavelength conversion layer disposed on a surface of the SS facing the FS, a transmissive layer disposed on the surface of SS, a common electrode disposed on surfaces of the wavelength conversion layer and the transmissive layer facing the FS, a light-blocking member disposed on a surface of the common electrode facing the FS, and a liquid crystal layer between the alignment film and the light-blocking member. Each pixel region among the pixel regions includes: a pixel electrode disposed on the surface of the FS; an opening region in the light-blocking member; and a pixel overlap region outside the opening region, the pixel electrode overlapping the light-blocking member in the pixel overlap region.

    Abstract: In a thin film transistor array panel and a method of manufacturing the same, a thin passivation layer is positioned between a first field generating electrode and a second field generating electrode. The thin passivation layer overlaps the first and second field generating electrodes. The thin passivation layer includes a transparent photosensitive organic material. When forming the first field generating electrode, the passivation layer is used as a photosensitive film. Accordingly, the passivation layer and the first field generating electrode may be formed using a same single photo-mask. Accordingly, the manufacturing cost of the thin film transistor array panel may be reduced.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a gate line, a data line, and a compensation voltage line disposed on an insulation substrate; a first passivation layer disposed on the gate line, the data line, and the compensation voltage line; a pixel electrode connected to the gate line and the data line, and a compensation electrode connected to the compensation voltage line, disposed on the first passivation layer; and a common electrode formed on the first passivation layer, wherein the compensation electrode overlaps at least a portion of the data line, and the compensation voltage line is formed with the same layer as the data line.
