    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device including a first substrate including a first display electrode and a second display electrode that is disposed opposite the first display electrode with an insulator interposed between the first display electrode and the second display electrode, a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first display electrode includes a plurality of first openings in each pixel, and an interior angle of at least one apex constituting the first opening is different from interior angles of another apex in each of the plurality of first openings.

    Abstract: A pixel array substrate includes a substrate, pixel units, and signal lines. Each pixel unit includes an active device, a first insulation layer, a common electrode, a second insulation layer, and a pixel electrode. The common electrode is disposed on the first insulation layer and has openings. The pixel electrode is disposed on the second insulation layer and overlapped with the common electrode. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device. The signal lines are disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the active device, respectively. The openings include at least one first opening, and an orthogonal projection of the at least one first opening on the substrate is located between orthogonal projections of the pixel electrodes on the substrate and orthogonal projections of the signal lines on the substrate. A display panel including the pixel array substrate is also provided.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes: a plurality of scan lines and signal lines on one of a pair of substrates arranged to be opposed to each other with a liquid crystal layer sandwiched therebetween, the scan lines and signal lines extending in different directions; and an orientation film, pixel electrode, insulating layer and common electrode, the orientation film being rubbed in a rubbing direction having a given inclination with respect to a pixel arrangement direction. The pixel electrode is partitioned by the scan lines and signal lines and has subpixels made up of first and second regions. The first region has a plurality of slit-shaped openings having a given inclination in a first direction with respect to the rubbing direction. The second region has a plurality of slit-shaped openings having a given inclination in a second direction with respect to the rubbing direction.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a substrate having pixel regions and a counter substrate opposed thereto. Gate lines and data lines intersect to define the pixel regions. A first common electrode overlaps the data lines and is disposed on a first insulating layer that is disposed on the substrate and the data lines. A second insulating layer is disposed between the first common electrode and a pixel electrode pattern that is disposed on the first insulating layer and insulated from the first common electrode. A second common electrode is disposed on one of the data lines and electrically connected to the first common electrode. A projection of the second common electrode on the substrate overlaps a projection of the one of the data lines on the substrate. A spacer is disposed on the substrate and is overlapped with the one of the data lines.
