Abstract: An electro-optic apparatus includes a substrate; a first conductive member disposed on one side of the substrate; a pixel electrode; a second conductive member disposed outside of a display region; a dummy pixel electrode; and an insulating layer disposed between the pixel electrode and the dummy pixel electrode, and the substrate. The pixel electrode includes a first pixel electrode layer overlapping the first conductive member, and a second pixel electrode layer, overlapping an opening region of a pixel, thinner than the first pixel electrode layer. The dummy pixel electrode includes a first dummy pixel electrode layer overlapping the second conductive member, and a second dummy pixel electrode layer, overlapping the first dummy pixel electrode layer, thinner than the first dummy pixel electrode layer. The insulating layer and the first dummy pixel electrode layer in a portion not overlapping the second conductive member face each other with a gap therebetween.

Abstract: The present invention has a pixel which includes a first switch, a second switch, a third switch, a first resistor, a second resistor, a first liquid crystal element, and a second liquid crystal element. A pixel electrode of the first liquid crystal element is electrically connected to a signal line through the first switch. The pixel electrode of the first liquid crystal element is electrically connected to a pixel electrode of the second liquid crystal element through the second switch and the first resistor. The pixel electrode of the second liquid crystal element is electrically connected to a Cs line through the third switch and the second resistor. A common electrode of the first liquid crystal element is electrically connected to a common electrode of the second liquid crystal element.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a liquid crystal display panel and a display apparatus. The liquid crystal display panel of the disclosure includes: first and second substrates assembled to form a cell, a plurality of main spacers therebetween, and an auxiliary spacer around at least a portion of the main spacers. Height of the auxiliary spacer is greater than or equal to that of the main spacer. The display panel further includes: pillows on side of the first substrate close to the second substrate and each abutting against a corresponding main spacer. An orthographic projection of the main spacer on the first substrate falls within an orthographic projection of the pillow on the first substrate, and an orthographic projection of the auxiliary spacer on the first substrate does not overlap with the orthographic projection of the pillow on the first substrate.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to apply a sufficient electrical field to a liquid crystal material in a horizontal electrical field liquid crystal display device typified by an FFS type. In a horizontal electrical field liquid crystal display, an electrical field is applied to a liquid crystal material right above a common electrode and a pixel electrode using plural pairs of electrodes rather than one pair of electrodes. One pair of electrodes includes a comb-shaped common electrode and a comb-shaped pixel electrode. Another pair of electrodes includes a common electrode provided in a pixel portion and the comb-shaped pixel electrode.

Abstract: An object is to provide a semiconductor device having a structure in which parasitic capacitance between wirings can be efficiently reduced. In a bottom gate thin film transistor using an oxide semiconductor layer, an oxide insulating layer used as a channel protection layer is formed above and in contact with part of the oxide semiconductor layer overlapping with a gate electrode layer, and at the same time an oxide insulating layer covering a peripheral portion (including a side surface) of the stacked oxide semiconductor layer is formed. Further, a source electrode layer and a drain electrode layer are formed in a manner such that they do not overlap with the channel protection layer. Thus, a structure in which an insulating layer over the source electrode layer and the drain electrode layer is in contact with the oxide semiconductor layer is provided.
