摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating a reference signal configuration for beam calibration by the UE based on a beamforming characterization status. The UE may receive a set of beam calibration reference signals based on the reference signal configuration. The UE may measure the set of beam calibration reference signals and generate a set of beamforming weights for use in communications by the UE based on the measuring and the beamforming characterization status. In some cases, the UE may transmit or forward a beamforming codebook based on the beamforming weights to a network entity. The network entity or the UE may forward the beamforming codebook to other UEs of a same design class as the UE.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to dynamic antenna array reconfiguration and signaling in millimeter wave bands. A user equipment (UE) may detect an antenna array change condition. The UE may transmit a request for beam training for an antenna array configuration in response to the detecting. The request for beam training may include a requested antenna array configuration for the UE and an indication of beam weights to use with the requested antenna array configuration. A base station may determine whether to grant or deny the requested antenna array configuration for the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of an antenna array configuration for the UE. The base station may transmit the number of reference signals as a set of contiguous channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS). The UE may train the reconfigured active antenna array configuration based on the reference signals.

摘要: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for signaling metrics associated with antenna modules of a UE in a wireless communication system. A user equipment (UE) determines one or more metrics associated with at least one antenna module of the UE. The UE transmits a message including the one or more metrics associated with at least one antenna module of the UE (e.g., to a base station or to another sidelink UE). In certain aspects, the message including the one or more metrics is transmitted to the base station during an initial establishment of a communication session between the UE and the base station. In some aspects, the UE transmits the message including the one or more metrics as a broadcast message, in a radio resource control (RRC) message, and/or in a medium access control (MAC)-control element (CE) message.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit control signaling indicating a set of beamforming configurations associated with a set of antenna panels at the UE. The UE may select one or more antenna elements of at least one antenna panel of the set of antenna panels based on a beamforming configuration associated with the at least one antenna panel. The UE may generate a set of beam weights for a wireless communication based on the beamforming configuration and the one or more antenna elements, and may use the generated set of beam weights to transmit the wireless communication. In some examples, the UE may include, in the control signaling, indications of a set of beamforming properties, a number of beam weights, a resource differential, or a combination thereof, associated with each beamforming configuration.

The antenna module further includes a conductive wall separating a first portion of the mold from a second portion of the mold. The conductive wall is electrically coupled to the ground plane. A conformal shield may be placed on a surface of the second portion of the mold. The conformal shield is electrically coupled to the ground plane.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a first device and a second device may communicate over a communication link using a set of antenna elements. The first device may identify one or more antenna array reconfiguration trigger conditions and may correspondingly select a first subset of antenna elements for operation. The first device may transmit a message to the second device including an indication of the antenna array reconfiguration at the first device, a request for the second device to modify the second device's antenna array configuration, or both. The second device may receive the message and, based on the indication or the request, may modify its antenna array configuration. For example, the second device may select a second subset of antenna elements based on the selected first subset of antenna elements. The devices may communicate using their modified antenna array configurations.
