摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) associated with transmissions in a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may implement tone reservation techniques. The UE may receive downlink control information from a base station that indicates a set of allocated resources that the UE is to use for the tone reservation. The UE may identify a first set of tones of the set of allocated resources for transmitting a data signal and a second set of tones of the set of allocated resources for transmitting a peak-reduction signal that reduces the peak power of the data signal. The UE may transmit the data signal and the peak-reduction signal based on the received downlink control information.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support power headroom differential reporting for reference resource signals transmitted at different transmission power than other uplink transmissions. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes determining a power headroom value, by a user equipment (UE), using a maximum configured transmission power and a transmission power configured for an uplink transmission at a configured modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The UE determines a reference resource signal power headroom value using the maximum configured transmission power and a reference resource signal transmission power configured for a reference resource signal transmission, calculates a reference resource power headroom differential between the power headroom value and the reference resource signal power headroom value, and transmits a report including the uplink transmission power headroom value and the reference resource power headroom differential. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

摘要: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may generate a signal for a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) for an SSB burst set, wherein the set of SSBs are associated with a set of analog beamforming configurations associated with a set of spatial directions. The base station may transmit the signal for the set of SSBs using the set of analog beamforming configurations over the set of spatial directions. The base station may receive one or more random access channel (RACH) communications corresponding to one or more SSBs of the set of SSBs in accordance with one or more frequency domain beam sweeping configurations corresponding to one or more analog beamforming configurations of the set of analog beamforming configurations. Numerous other aspects are described.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first control message indicating a static or dynamic capability of the UE to support hybrid beamforming and adaptive beam weights-based analog beamforming. The UE may receive a second control message indicating a first set of reference signal resources associated with the hybrid beamforming and a second set of reference signal resources associated with the adaptive beam weights-based analog beamforming. The UE may transmit a first set of reference signals via the first set of reference signal resources and a second set of reference signals via the second set of reference signal resources and, receive, in response, a third control message indicating a rank indicator associated with the hybrid beamforming or the adaptive beam weights-based analog beamforming.

摘要: Techniques are provided for enabling user equipment (UE) positioning based on angle estimation in millimeter wave (mmW) bands. An example method for determining a location of a mobile device includes transmitting array gain information to a network entity, the array gain information including beam pattern information based at least in part on a sub-band and a state of the mobile device, receiving one or more reference signals in one or more sub-bands, wherein a receive beam for each of the one or more reference signals is based at least in part on the sub-band the one or more reference signals are being received in, and on a current state of the mobile device, determining measurement values based on the one or more reference signals, and determining the location of the mobile device based at least in part on the measurement values.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may be configured to transmit, to a second wireless device, one or more orbital angular momentum (OAM) signals in accordance with a set of radial codeword sequences associated with a polynomial radial codeword configuration, where the one or more OAM signals are transmitted based on a first value of a polynomial term for the polynomial radial codeword configuration. The first wireless device may receive, from the second wireless device on the one or more OAM signals, a feedback message indicating a second value of the polynomial term. The first wireless device may then transmit, to the second wireless device, one or more additional OAM signals in accordance with the set of radial codeword sequences and based on the second value for the polynomial term.
