摘要： A first device: determines whether or not a terminal voltage at a terminal, where a temperature sensor, in which a physical quantity such as a resistance value or a voltage value varies due to changes in temperature, is connected, is in a first voltage range; controls the terminal voltage to vary in accordance with changes of the physical quantity, within the first voltage range, when the terminal voltage is determined to be in the first voltage range, and stops controlling the terminal voltage to vary within the first voltage range when the terminal voltage is determined not to be in the first voltage range; and detects temperature based on the terminal voltage. A second device: controls the terminal voltage to vary in accordance with changes of the physical quantity, within a second voltage range, which is different from the first voltage range; and detects temperature based on the terminal voltage.

摘要： A battery protection IC has detection circuits to detect faults of an overcharge, an over-discharge, and an overcurrent of a secondary battery; a control circuit to protect the secondary battery, by controlling (dis)charging the secondary battery upon the fault; and a delay circuit to generate delay after the fault before the controlling. The IC includes a memory unit to store data for setting and adjusting a circuit characteristic of the IC; and a setting circuit to set and adjust the circuit characteristic, based on the data from the memory unit. The memory unit includes a pair of non-volatile memory cells to complementarily store one bit, and a latch circuit directly cross-coupled with the memory cells, for each bit of the data. The latch circuit statically outputs the data from the memory cells to the setting circuit when the IC is turned on.

The driving unit is configured to generate a phase change in the recording layer and to record information by at least one of application of a voltage and application of a current to the recording layer. The coordination number of the first positive ion element at a position of a second coordination of the second positive ion element is 80% or more and less than 100% of the coordination number when the first compound is assumed to be a perfect crystal.
