Abstract:
Described herein are techniques related to motion estimation for video encoding. In particular, integer estimation is performed on a reference video frame, and a best size macro block is determined. A fractional estimation is performed on that best size macro block. Based on the fractional estimation, a determination is made if an improvement occurs over the macro block from the integer estimation. If such an improvement occurs, then all sub shapes of the best size macro block from the integer search/estimation are updated. Furthermore, the new sub macro block is chosen as the final macro block to be used for video encoding.
Abstract:
A method of forming bumps of a semiconductor device with reduced solder bump collapse. The method includes preparing a semiconductor substrate in which pads are exposed externally from a passivation layer; forming a seed layer on the semiconductor substrate; forming a photoresist pattern to expose the seed layer on the pads; forming pillars by performing a primary electroplating on a region exposed by the photoresist pattern; forming a solder layer by performing a secondary electroplating on the pillars; removing the photoresist pattern; forming solder bumps, in which solders partially cover surfaces of the pillars, by performing a reflow process on the semiconductor substrate; and removing portions of the seed layer formed in regions other than the solder bumps.
Abstract:
A light emitting diode package module includes a printed circuit board, a wiring film and light emitting diode packages. The printed circuit board includes first regions and second regions, which are alternately disposed. The wiring film is disposed over the printed circuit board and includes first sections and second sections, which are alternately disposed. Each diode package is disposed between one of the first regions and one of the first sections. The light emitting diode package is electrically connected to the wiring film. The second sections and the second regions are adhered to each other so that the wiring film and the printed circuit board are electrically connected.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a photomask includes forming a photoresist film on a substrate, and forming a defect detecting pattern on the photoresist film. The defect detecting pattern has a first pattern elongated in a first direction and a second pattern overlapping one end of the first pattern and elongated in a second direction different from the first direction. The first pattern and the second pattern are formed using electron beams (e-beam) diffracted by a same amplifier.

Described herein are techniques related to motion and quality adaptive rolling intra (I) macro-block (MB) that is used to encode a particular image frame. In particular, the rolling I MB configuration may be based upon global motion direction, quantization parameter (QP) value, complexity based roll, and/or QP saturation based roll.

A continuous variable valve duration apparatus may vary an opening duration of a valve. The continuous variable valve duration apparatus may include a camshaft in which a camshaft slot is formed, a cam portion of which a cam and a cam slot are formed thereto and of which a rotation center is identical to a rotation center of the camshaft and the cam portion of which a phase angle to the cam shaft is variable, and a duration control portion which varies the phase angle between the camshaft slot and the cam slot.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for controlling a hydraulic pump in a construction machine which can reduce the discharge flow of the hydraulic pump in proportion to the load pressure of the hydraulic pump to enhance operability by the driver. The present invention provides the system for controlling the hydraulic pump in the construction machine, which is characterized by detecting the discharge pressure of the hydraulic pump and the operation activity of an operation lever, and comparing the detected discharge pressure of the hydraulic pump and a predetermined pressure value, and when the detected discharge pressure exceeds the predetermined pressure value, the maximum dischargeable flow of the hydraulic pump is reduced in proportion to the difference between the detected pressure and the predetermined pressure value.
Abstract:
A semiconductor memory device stably performs a read operation at a high frequency, thereby reducing a current consumption. The semiconductor memory device is capable of performing the read operation stably by controlling a data eye. The semiconductor memory device includes an output unit and a data eye control unit. The output unit outputs data in synchronization with clock signals. The data eye control unit controls a data eye of the data output by the output unit.
Abstract:
The format of telecined video may be determined including a bottom field first cadence. In addition, video using 2:3:3:2 top field first can be identified. Moreover, mixed cadence videos can also be detected. In some embodiments, mixed cadence videos may be detected by calculating variances of different areas within a frame.
