    摘要: A vehicle tire crown portion 10 including a tread 11 is injection molded and prevulcanized in a closed annular mold cavity 17 defined by a segmented outer mold 16 clamped together by a locking ring 22 and a segmented core 19 pressed against the outer mold by upper and lower pressure plates 25, 26. The core is then removed by disassembling its segments, whereafter a carcass 14 and prevulcanized sidewalls 12, 13 are placed in the central portion of the mold on an inflatable air bag 38 flanked by lateral mold sections 39, 40. The vulcanization of the tire assembly is then completed, during which the sidewalls are joined to the retained crown portion.

    摘要: An apparatus for producing tires suitable for use on vehicles from elastomers, especially from rubber by injection-molding is disclosed. The apparatus has a multi-part cord defining an inner side of a mold cavity for receiving separately prefabricated reinforcements of the tire. The cord can be reduced in size to define the external periphery by relative displacement of individual parts for the removal of the tire from the mold. The mold core with the reinforcements is inserted into a multi-part injection mold by which the core is completely enclosed.

    摘要: As arc section of the casing 11 of a tire 10 to be retreaded is engaged on the outside by a mold element 15 defining a hollow mold chamber 17 and on the inside by a mushroom shaped counter mold element 16 configured to the inner contour of the casing. The relatively movable elements 15 and 16 are pressed towards each other to seal the chamber 17, and tread rubber is injected into the chamber and vulcanized to the casing. The mold elements are then retracted and the casing is rotated to a fresh arc section to thus retread the entire casing circumference in a stepped or successive manner.

    摘要: Mold clamping forces are provided by mounting the mold halves between spaced crossheads connected by elastically deformable rods of tensile steel. The crossheads are pulled slightly apart by hydraulic cylinders to expand and tension the rods, and the prepared molds are then inserted together with appropriately dimensioned wedges or shims to occupy the expansion space. When the hydraulic pressure is released the elastic restoration or spring forces of the stretched rods serve to clamp the assembled molds tightly together to enable injection, curing, etc. A plurality of such mold assemblies may be circumferentially spaced around a rotatable turntable, and the various opening and closing movements may be controlled by rollers on the mold components running in stationary cam tracks around the turntable. C-shaped mold clamps may also be used instead of the crosshead and rod configurations.

    摘要: A clamping arrangement to firmly clamp workpieces of variable shape to permit the workpieces to be processed on all peripheral sides includes a rotating platform and a clamping lever. The platform and the lever are separately mounted on the housing of the clamping arrangement. The lever is mounted on the housing by means of a column and a bearing part. The column is fixedly secured to the housing. The bearing part is rotatably and adjustably connected to the column to permit the bearing part to be located at various positions along the length of the column. The clamping lever is pivotably coupled to the bearing part and may be driven by fluid pressure operated cylinders between clamping and releasing positions. The clamping lever has two telescoping parts to permit the portion of the clamping lever which engages the workpiece to be radially adjustable with respect to the column. When the clamping lever is actuated, the workpiece is secured between a conical clamping peg at the free end of the clamping lever and supports on the rotating platform.
