    Abstract: The saw mount includes a support member having a vertical collar on its horizontal flange which encircles an upstanding tubular post on a flat base plate that can be bolted to a conventional workshop table. Projecting horizontally from the vertical flange of the support member are two tubular rails having inwardly facing horizontal slots. Within the tubular rails are telescopically received additional tubes having a generally U-shaped cross section with strips or flanges secured thereto and projecting outwardly through the slots so that a turntable can be detachably carried by the strips or flanges. Alternatively, the rails may be of solid or closed tubular configuration and the turntable supported by generally complementary configured, horizontally spaced apart support members adapted to be slidably supported on the rails. The turntable has an opening of sufficient width therein so that the work can be viewed through a transparent sheet of plastic overlying said opening. Not only can the support member, together with the tubular rails, be rotated about the upstanding tubular post, and also clamped in a preferred rotative position, but the turntable itself can be rotated into various angled positions so that virtually any type of saw cut can be made.

    Abstract: A belt sanding apparatus has an endless abrasive belt trained over both a drive and a driven roll for finishing a workpiece, the rolls being mounted on the apparatus frame for rotation about fixed upstanding axes. A side and/or end workpiece support table is mounted on the frame for four-way adjustment relative to the belt. An elongated support bracket plate is provided for mounting each table to the frame for pivotal movement about a transverse tilt axis. Guide rods on the table engage the bracket plate for vertical sliding movement and for effecting pivotal movement of the table about the transverse tilt axis. A turnscrew or the like is provided on the bracket for vertically moving the table relative to the belt, the table being connected to the guide rods for moving the table both along a horizontal plane toward and away from the belt and about a longitudinal roll axis, such that the table is capable of vertical, horizontal, tilt and roll adjustments relative to the belt.

    Abstract: A carrier for an apparatus that must be moved to different positions relative to a work station includes a track mounted to the work station and a truck assembly with a locking brake riding the track. A mounting head which receives the apparatus is coupled to the truck by an arm. The mounting head rotates relative to the arm and includes a locking brake to prevent rotation. A single control handle simultaneously releases the mounting head and truck assembly to permit normal relocation and reorientation of the apparatus with respect to the work station and convenient access to the apparatus. Releasing the control handle causes both locking brakes to engage, thereby fixing the apparatus in the desired position and orientation.
