    摘要： A device for cutting a textile yarn during its feed to an operator element such as a textile machine for its processing or a member for feeding it to such a machine. The device includes a blade member inserted into a housing presenting at least one aperture for passage of the yarn, the blade member carried by a movable support element subjected to an actuator for its movement. The movable support element being able to assume two working positions, a first position in which the blade member is spaced from the yarn and a second position in which the member cooperates with the yarn and cuts it. The actuator include a bistable electromagnet, a spring mounted about the movable support member urging the blade member into the cutting position.

    摘要： The present invention relates to a method for slicing loaves of bread, particularly loaves having an oblong or essentially oblong shape, and to a device for the implementation of the said method.This method is characterized in that, inside a housing consisting of one or more longitudinal lateral walls defining a first compartment for the introduction of the loaf of bread to be sliced, and a second, cutting compartment, one of whose lateral walls, or whose sole lateral wall, is provided, in proximity to the cutting compartment, with a longitudinal slot for the passage of a circular blade that can rotate counterclockwise and that is mounted rotatively on a shaft external to the housing, the loaf is placed in the first compartment after the distance inside the housing between the extremity of the blade and, located facing the slot, the means for guiding the loaf, has been adjusted as necessary, such that, due to the effect of the rotating blade, the loaf, to which motion has been imparted by the tractive force of the said blade, is sliced longitudinally over its entire width or over a portion thereof, and the sliced loaf is then received.

    摘要： A chopper for chopping fibers or fiber strands having a back up roll and a blade roll containing blades that work against a peripheral surface of the back up roll and a method of using is disclosed. The chopper has a number of improved features for reducing the frequency of long fibers or long fiber strands and fuzz from getting into the chopped product. The chopper can have one or any combination of the improvements. The improvements include a strand guide located at least two feet up stream of the chopper, a first starting roll for starting a new strand that runs on a fluid bearing that can be adjusted to control the RPM of the first starting roll, a mount for a roll that runs against the peripheral surface of said back up roll, a strand guide insert for reducing fuzz generation and for preventing fuzz from getting into the product, and a deflector plate for catching and deflecting chopped strands thrown off the back up roll into a chopped strand product chute.

The cable stripping device includes a wire guide block having a bore extending transversely therethrough and a slot which extends from an end of the block to the bore. A rotary knife is disposed on a linkage assembly connected to the holder and is pivotable between an unengaged position to an engaged position, wherein the engaged position the blade extends through the slot and extends at least partially into the bore to engage with the cable or wire located within the bore, whereby in the engaged position, the knife blade is positioned to cut the insulation housing from the cable or wire as the cable or wire is pulled through the bore.
