Abstract: A swivel hook including a head portion pivotally connected to the strap connector body, a hook-shape leg projecting from the head portion, and an unhooking-preventing leg projecting from the head portion toward a tip of the hook-shaped leg and resiliently deformable about its own base end. The hook-shaped leg has on its inner surface near its base end a projection engageable with an inner surface of the unhooking-preventing leg within an elastic-limit range of the unhooking-preventing leg when the unhooking-preventing leg is deformed.

Abstract: A female component of a hook-and-eye fastener is assembled from an eye body and an eyelet. The eye body of a hollow configuration having opposite end openings into which a hook body of a male component is inserted to engage the eye body of the female component, which body is provided with, in its bottom wall: upward-and-inward sloping portions in the opposite end openings; a recessed portion interposed between the sloping portions; and an aperture through which is passed a distal end part of a hollow shank portion of the eyelet. In assembling of the female component, the distal end part of the shank portion of the eyelet is staked so as to be plastically deformed into an annular curled edge abutting against an inner surface of the bottom wall of the eye body. Since the annular curled edge of the shank portion of the eyelet is entirely received in the recessed portion of the bottom wall of the eye body, it is possible to reduce the overall height of the eye body, which leads to reduction of the overall height of the female component, whereby the fastener is improved in appearance and texture.

Abstract: The failure sign detection apparatus includes an abnormality detector to make a comparison between a failure detection parameter of a vehicle device mounted on a vehicle and a predetermined abnormality detection threshold, and make a determination whether there is an abnormality in the vehicle device based on a result of the comparison, a failure sign evaluation index calculator to calculate a failure sign evaluation index for evaluating a sign of failure of the vehicle device based on an abnormality duration period over which the detected abnormality continues and a parameter threshold difference indicative of a difference between the abnormality detection threshold and the failure detection parameter, and a failure sign detector to detect a sign of failure of the vehicle device based on the failure sign evaluation index calculated by the failure sign evaluation index.

Abstract: For the production of acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propylene, there is provided a process capable of giving a high yield and maintaining such an effect for a long period of time. In producing acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propylene, a fluidized bed catalyst is used and the reaction is carried out while appropriately adding a molybdenum-containing material, wherein the fluidized bed catalyst contains molybdenum, bismuth, iron, nickel, chromium, potassium, an F component and silica as essential components, and has a number of Mo/Me of from 0.8 to 1, wherein the Mo/Me is a number obtained by dividing the product 20 of a valence number of molybdenum as molybdic acid and an atomic ratio of molybdenum by the sum of respective products of respective valence numbers and atomic ratios of bismuth, iron, nickel, chromium, potassium, the F component element, a G component element and a Y component element.
