摘要: A plasma cutting system for measuring or monitoring the voltage between a plasma torch and the material being cut to determine a voltage or voltage signature and comparing that measurement against predetermined values to indicate that an initial pierce of the material is complete, and based on the measurement, moving the torch or the material to a different location for additional cutting. The system further provides a Fix Drawing Tool, which will automatically detect and fix gaps or overlaps in a drawing that are very difficult to find visually. These gaps and overlaps become a problem when trying to make a proper toolpath because a CAM program requires a clean, closed shape. The system also provides a Dynamic Corner Looping system, which automatically adjusts with the feed-rate and accelerations of the toolpath and plasma machine, eliminates unwanted dross, sharpens corners and minimizes material loss. A pendant tethering system is also disclosed for managing control of a CNC machine remotely. Additional disclosed functionality includes a data collection system, a manual hand wheel with 3D simulation and a multiple fabrication head management system.

摘要: A method includes disposing an intervention service tool within a tubular. The intervention service tool includes an anchoring system, a shifting system, and a linear actuator system. The tubular includes a shifting profile geometry disposed within the tubular at a first location. The anchoring system, the shifting system, and/or the linear actuator system is actuated. Shifter system pressure, linear actuator system force/pressure, and displacement of the shifting system is measured. A known graph of the shifting profile geometry is compared to one or more of a measured pressure, a measured force, or a measured displacement. A position of a key disposed on the shifting system is determined relative to the shifting profile. The shifting profile geometry is engaged with the key based on the position of the key. The shifting profile geometry is positioned at a second location that is different from the first location.

The machine includes a composite placement machine, measuring equipment, a tool path generator, and compaction equipment. The composite placement machine lays up composite plies. The measuring equipment measures surfaces of the composite plies to form measurements during layup of the composite plies. A computer includes a model of the composite plies for a structure. The tool path generator forms a modified tool path based upon a difference between the measurements and expected measurements for the composite plies in the model.

摘要: A control device of a machine tool receives a target machining, in accordance with which a workpiece should be machined by a tool of the machine tool. The control device also receives via a human-machine interface or via an interface to an external memory device a selection, a parameterization and/or a specification of a sequence of predefined rules, which define the manner in which the machining of the workpiece should be modified in the event of undesired vibrations during machining. When undesired vibrations do not occur, as determined from acquired sensor signals, machining is carried out in accordance with the target machining. When undesired vibrations occur, the machining is modified in accordance with the rules, wherein the control device selects the rules in accordance with the selection, parameterizes the rules in accordance with the parameterization and/or carries out the rules in accordance with the specified sequence.

In an example, the movable gantry system is configured to interface with jigs of different types or sizes and/or with different positions of a same jig and/or to perform operations on different parts mounted in such jigs. The computing system identifies the gantry and the part and controls the gantry and the end effector, thereby facilitating the operations on the part.
