Abstract:
A connecting wire having an electrically conductive core—preferably provided by a wire or ribbon—with a coating provided on the surface of the core, the coating being composed of a nitrogen-containing tantalum alloy or tungsten alloy, and also optionally containing silicon as an additional alloy component. The invention further relates to a manufacturing method for such a connecting wire.
Abstract:
A connecting wire having an electrically conductive core, preferably provided by a wire or ribbon, with a coating provided on the surface of the core. The coating is composed of a nitrogen-containing tantalum alloy or tungsten alloy, and also optionally contains silicon as an additional alloy component. A manufacturing method for producing such a connecting wire involves passing a wire or ribbon core past a coating source to apply the coating.
Abstract:
A vehicle heater (1) has a motor (4) and a combustion air fan designed as a side channel fan. The combustion air fan has a basic housing part (2), on which a drive shaft (3) of the motor (4) is mounted, and a fan wheel (10). The fan wheel (10) is connected to the drive shaft (3) of the motor (4). The motor (4) has a stationary coil support part (6) which is connected to a printed circuit board (7) and an armature (8). Furthermore, the combustion air fan has a gap tube (16) between the stationary coil support part (6) and the armature (8).
Abstract:
The method for the manufacture of multilayer connecting substrates with multiple functions comprises the design of the connecting substrate taking place in functionally separated manner, in that signal conducting substrate parts (19), power supplying substrate parts (2), mechanical substrate parts (7), as well as the arrangement of components (4) or component-carrying substrate parts is separately planned and optimized as independent functions or modules and finally associated with spatially separated functional areas (inner/outer) of the overall circuit, the design taking place by the connection of the modules to an overall circuit embodying the connecting substrate. The resulting multilayer circuit with conductor network (19, 2), components (4) and mechanical stiffening elements (7) has the following structure. The substrate parts with the fine, dense and flexible elements are associated with the inner areas of the overall circuit, the substrate parts with the rigid elements and/or components are associated with the outer areas of the overall circuit and a stiffening support material is so placed in the outer area that the circuit is given a mechanical support structure, which is designed in locally rigid manner passing into flexible areas. The overall circuit is folded and/or wound corresponding to the rigid and flexible portions. The mechanical support structure can be formed by separately produced apparatus housing parts or by the apparatus housing.
Abstract:
To provide for accurate engagement at an indexed location of a machine tool work table with respect to a base, the work table is made to be lowered from its normal, work position, for example by means of a hydraulic piston-cylinder arrangement, to disengage locating projections and recesses formed on the work table and the base, respectively, the projections and recesses being so arranged that, from the base, they are at a downwardly directed face whereas, on the work table, they are at an upwardly directed face. These projections may, for example, be face or end gears, pyramidal or conical projections fitting into similarly shaped recesses, and the like. The indexing motion applied to the work table thus need not be highly accurate, the projection-recesses of the work table base arrangement providing for accurately positioned indexed location of the work table.
Abstract:
A base body contains a substrate that is at least partially coated with a carbon-containing layer. The carbon-containing layer is at least partially functionalized with a molecule that is bound directly or via at least one linker or functional group to the carbon-containing layer. The base body, which has a functionalized carbon-containing surface, is capable of influencing biological processes during a corresponding functionalization.
Abstract:
Apparatus for producing a semi-solid metal alloy from a molten charge includes vertically aligned treatment zones which are provided by vertically aligned passages defined by a plurality of spirally wound flow pipes which are interspersed between spirally wound induction coils. A container is mounted on a charging arrangement which displaces a first charge upwardly into the first treatment zone. Successive charges are introduced in a similar fashion thereby urging the previously introduced charge upwardly along the train of zones and until the leading charge is ejected from the top of the apparatus. The charge in each zone is subjected to controlled cooling and an induced electromagnetic field. The strength of the field and the rate of cooling are controlled to impede dendritic crystallisation and to promote globular primary crystal formation.

Abstract:
A device and method for injecting a fuel-gas mixture. The novel device has an advantage of a simple and exact adjustment of an annular gas gap. The adjustment of the axial extension of a narrow annular gap is effected by varying the axial spacing between the face end of a retaining shoulder on a fuel injection valve and the face end of the bottom part in the region of the annular gas gap of the gas enveloping bushing. The proposed device for injecting a fuel-gas mixture is especially suitable for injection into the intake tube of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine with externally supply ignition.
