摘要: A tangible, machine readable storage medium stores instructions and implements a method when the instructions are executed by a processor. A source file is received by a gateway engine. The source file is a binary file. The source file is portioned into multiple parts by a breakdown engine. The multiple parts are transferred by a reliable transfer engine using a single port according to a messaging protocol to transfer messages reliably between nodes in the presence of any of software failures, component failures, system failures, or network failures. The multiple parts are reassembled into a copy of the source file by a reassembly engine.

摘要: A computer system has a plurality of computer servers, each including at least one central processing unit (CPU). A memory appliance is spaced remotely from the plurality of computer servers. The memory appliance includes random access memory (RAM). A photonic CPU link is operatively attached to the at least one CPU. An optical-electrical converter is operatively attached to the photonic CPU link. An electronic circuit switch is operatively attached to the optical-electrical converter and the memory appliance. An allocated portion of the RAM is addressable by a predetermined CPU selected from the plurality of computer servers.

摘要: A method of making a liquid electrophotographic (LEP) paste is disclosed herein. A base paste is made by forming a dispersion of a pigment and a non-polar carrier, adding a transparent resin dispersion to the pigment dispersion to form a dispersion mixture, and homogenizing the dispersion mixture. The transparent resin dispersion includes a polymer dispersed in a non-aqueous carrier. The homogenizing may be accomplished by agitating the dispersion mixture at a frequency of less than 1 kHz, thereby forming the paste.

摘要: An inkjet recording medium includes a substrate, an intermediate layer disposed on the substrate, and an ink receiving layer disposed on the intermediate layer. The intermediate layer includes a binder, an inorganic pigment, and a pigment ink fixing agent chosen from divalent salts, multivalent salts, and combinations thereof. The ink receiving layer includes a non-film forming polymer, a binder chosen from any of water dispersible binders or water soluble binders, and a pigment.

摘要: A first layer is established on a second layer and an induction coil is disposed within induction proximity to the second layer. The induction coil is electrically energized thereby heating the second layer to a target temperature. A die having a die cavity is translated from a first location spaced substantially beyond an induction heating distance from the induction coil to a clamping location adjacent the second layer such that the induction coil surrounds a predetermined location on an external surface of the die. The die is heated by induction between the induction coil and the die while the die is translated toward the clamping location until the die reaches a predetermined die temperature. The induction coil is de-energized after the die has reached the predetermined die temperature. The first layer and the second layer are clamped between a binder and the die.

摘要: A system and method for managing emergency calls are disclosed herein. The method includes receiving an emergency related call at a call center, and during the emergency related call, retrieving information related to i) a type of incident being reported, ii) a location of the incident being reported, and iii) a description of the incident being reported. A public safety answering point to notify of the incident is identified, where such identification is based upon at least some of the retrieved information. A database is searched for outgoing calls to the identified public safety answering point, and based upon results from the searching, a determination is made as to whether to contact the identified public safety answering point.
