Abstract: A device for regulating light passing through the device comprises a multi-layered stack. The stack comprises a first layer and a second layer. The first layer and the second layer allow the light to pass through the first layer and the second layer. A first fluid channel is defined between the first layer and the second layer. The first fluid channel allows the light to pass through the first fluid channel. A first fluid is operably received into the first fluid channel and operably withdrawn from the first fluid channel.

Abstract: The present application provides an inhibitory compound, such as a peptide, and methods for using the inhibitory compound in the treatment, diagnosis or monitoring of cognitive and mood disorders that are typically associated with memory loss and/or loss of executive function. In one example, the inhibitory compound is a peptide that mimics the N-terminal sequence of the intracellular loop of α5 subunit of α5GABAA receptors. Also provided are compositions and methods for treating a disorder associated with memory loss or loss of executive function. The therapeutic method comprises the step of inhibiting binding of radixin to α5GABAA receptors, for example, by administration of the presently described inhibitory compound or peptide.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the manufacturing and use of co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalysts for electroreduction of CO or CO2 to produce n-propanol. The co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalyst includes Cu as well as Ag and a secondary dopant, such as Ruthenium (Ru), Rhodium (Rh), Iridium (Ir), Palladium (Pd), Gold (Au) or Platinum (Pt). The co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalyst can be manufactured using a two-stage method where Cu nanoparticles are first doped with Ru and then doped with Ag. The co-doped multi-metallic electrocatalysts facilitate adsorption of CO, C1-C1 coupling, C1-C2 coupling and certain kinetics for the production of propanol by electroreduction with good selectivity at high current densities.

Abstract: There is provided a neurostimulator and method for delivering to a subject a stimulation in response to a predicted or detected condition. The neurostimulator including: a power circuit for providing electrical power to the neurostimulator; a recording array having a plurality of electrodes for recording a plurality of neurophysiological signals corresponding to a plurality of sites of the subject; a signal processor configured to: determine a phase synchrony among the neurophysiological signals; and associate selected phase synchrony calculations with the prediction or detection of a neurological or neurophysiological condition; and one or more stimulators for delivering to the subject a stimulation in response to the predicted or detected condition.
