Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a power battery pack equalization method based on terrain prediction. The method includes: S1. during running of a vehicle, acquiring information of a road ahead of the vehicle; and S2. classifying the road information, setting a power prediction type based on a road information type, and switching a battery pack equalization mode correspondingly. For a low power and high energy recovery type, charging equalization is performed on a battery pack, and single batteries with low power capacity are charged through a supercapacitor; and for a road with high power and high energy consumption, discharging equalization is performed on the battery pack, and the supercapacitor is charged through single batteries with high power capacity. Thanks to the present disclosure, energy distribution and equalization of the entire vehicle can be more reasonable, the batteries are protected, and better economical efficiency is achieved.

stop the current when a setpoint temperature for one or more element(s) of the pack is reached.-

Abstract: The protection of an electrical energy accumulation device from electromagnetic attacks is provided. The electrical energy accumulation device comprises a housing made of an electrically conductive material, at least one electrical energy storage cell that is arranged in the housing and two terminals that are arranged through the housing, the terminals being electrically insulated from the housing, the terminals allowing electrical energy to be transferred between the at least one storage cell and the exterior of the device. The device further comprises, inside the housing, a specific component exhibiting an impedance having at least one resistive component that is higher than 1 ohm, which component is configured to dissipate the energy of electromagnetic interference attempting to penetrate the housing through at least one of the terminals.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes an automotive battery system including a first battery that couples to an electrical system. Additionally, the first battery includes a first battery chemistry. Further, the automotive battery system includes a second battery coupled in parallel with the first battery and couples to the electrical system. Furthermore, the automotive battery system includes a first switch coupled to a positive terminal of the second battery, which electrically couples or decouples the second battery to or from the electrical system. Moreover, the automotive battery system includes a battery control unit that detects a short circuit condition of the first battery, the second battery, or both and decouples the second battery from the electrical system by opening the first switch upon detecting the short circuit condition.

Abstract: Even when a service disconnect switch is opened, an integrated circuit connected to single battery cells are operated. The cell controller is provided with: the integrated circuits; a signal transmission path through which a signal is transmitted between the integrated circuits via the capacitors; and the connection circuit. The first integrated circuit is provided corresponding to the first cell group electrically connected to one side of the SD-SW, and the second integrated circuit is provided corresponding to the second cell group electrically connected to one side of the SD-SW. The connection circuit AC-couples the ground terminal GND of the first integrated circuit to the ground terminal GND of the second integrated circuit through the capacitor.

Abstract: A multi-source energy storage system (ESS) includes a master controller and a plurality of ESSs. A first ESS includes an ESS controller and a plurality of micro-ESSs. A first micro-ESS includes a plurality of nano-ESSs, a micro-ESS controller, and a pulse width modulator. A first nano-ESS includes a plurality of cells, a plurality of cell balancing converters, a bidirectional DC-DC converter and a nano-ESS controller. The multi-source ESS operates in a charging mode and a discharging mode. The multi-source ESS is connected to one of a load, an electric grid or a micro-grid, and provides power thereto when it operates in the discharging mode. The multi-source ESS receives power when it operates in the charging mode.
