    Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, an input device, and a controller. The display displays a character input screen. The input device includes character input keys, a character delete key, and a confirmation key. When the controller detects a character input key being pressed, the controller causes a character corresponding to the character input key to be displayed on the character input screen and determines whether or not any word registered in a word table is predictable from an unconfirmed character or a character string of unconfirmed characters input of which has not been confirmed through the confirmation key. In response to a single press on the character delete key, the controller deletes a deletion start character that makes word prediction impossible, or the deletion start character and at least one unconfirmed character immediately preceding or following the deletion start character.

    Abstract: A communications device for managing composition of electronic messages using temporary suspensions is disclosed. The communications device includes a network interface, a memory, and a processor in communication with the network interface and the memory. The processor is configured to receive a request to suspend composition of a first electronic message in an input field associated with an electronic message exchange between two or more participants, store in the memory the first electronic message, and clear the input field for composition of a second electronic message. Responsive to a trigger indicating resumption of composition of the first electronic message, the processor is further configured to insert the first electronic message in the input field, thereby enabling completion of the composition of the first electronic message, and to add the first electronic message to a thread of the electronic message exchange. The first electronic message is displayed in the thread of the electronic message exchange chronologically after the second electronic message.

    Abstract: One or more embodiments present a script to a user in an interactive script environment. A digital representation of a manuscript is analyzed. This digital representation includes a set of roles and a set of information associated with each role in the set of roles. An active role in the set of roles that is associated with a given user is identified based on the analyzing. At least a portion of the manuscript is presented to the given user via a user interface. The portion includes at least a subset of information in the set of information.     Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer program products, for real-time document sharing and editing. In one aspect, a method includes comparing a first user's and a second user's changes to a document, the document being edited by the first user and the second user concurrently; and notifying the first user of a conflicting change and content of any conflicting change to the document made by the first user but not made to the document because of the conflicting change. In another aspect, a method includes recording a saved position of a cursor of a user editing a client-side copy of a document; receiving an update to the document and generating an updated client-side copy of the document; using the saved position to determine an updated position of the cursor; and displaying to the user the updated client-side copy of the document with the cursor displayed at the updated position.
