Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for launching an application page, and an electronic device. The method includes: obtaining item description information in a current display interface, the item description information comprising text description information, image description information and/or speech description information; determining an item type of an item according to the item description information; obtaining an application identification corresponding to the item type; obtaining a configuration file corresponding to the application identification from a server, and generating a hyperlink on the current display interface, the hyperlink being associated with the configuration file; and when a trigger operation on the hyperlink is detected, launching a target application page according to the configuration file.

Abstract: A computing system for building an infrastructure of actionable elements related to different printed items has a memory which stores identifying information for different printed items to be printed for different customers. A processing circuit receives image files for the different printed items, identifies potentially actionable elements in the image file and stores the identified potentially actionable elements. The processing circuit receives via a customer interface portal a selection of a discovery mechanism for discovering the printed item and at least one of the identified potentially actionable elements. The selected actionable element provides access to content which is supplemental to content printed on the printed item. Each supplemental content has a different brand creative. The processing circuit stores the selection of the discovery mechanism and the selected actionable element in the memory in association with the identifying information for each respective different printed item to be printed for different customers.

Abstract: A method and related system obtains consent from a user for electronic delivery of sensitive information. The user operating a first computer accesses a web page on a server system to input the consent. The web page prompts for the consent from the user. Once the consent is received at the server system, the consent is stored and sensitive information is delivered electronically to an e-mail address specified by the user. Once consent is indicated, it is communicated from the individual's computer to another computer such as a server over, for example, a modem connection. Having secured the individual's consent, the additional sensitive information may be delivered to the individual's computer as, for example, a URL attachment to an email message.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an asset integration service establishes a communication session between a design application and a client device for accessing source graphical assets from a web server executing a content management service. The integration service receives, during the communication session and via a design interface from the design application, a request to add a source graphical asset to a document displayed on the client device. The integration service retrieves, responsive to the request, a placement graphical asset that is a lower-resolution copy of the source graphical asset and updates the design interface to include the placement graphical asset. The integration service associates the placement graphical asset with a network link for accessing the source graphical asset via the content management service. The integration service subsequently detects that the source graphical asset has been changed and displays, via the design interface, a notification that the placement graphical asset is outdated.

Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose a browser plug-in designed to conserve bandwidth, power or computing resources. The plug-in identifies links in a web page that retrieve additional data. In some embodiments, the additional data is retrieved and examined to obtain an identifier associated with the data. The identifier is then used to determine a course of action which could be to block the data, move the data or ask that future data comply with the interests of the user. The web page is rendered and displayed in accordance with the decision. In other embodiments, prior to receiving data, the browser plug-in sends information to identify data of interest or disinterest and in response, receives data chosen based on the interest or disinterest, thus refraining from downloading irrelevant data. In still other embodiments, prior to receiving the data, the browser plug-in sends information indicating the data will not be retrieved.

Abstract: A document creation platform provides a user interface for creating electronic documents. In response to a first user input, the platform creates an electronic document with a plurality of clauses. In response to a second user input in a first clause, the platform designates a user-specified sequence of words in the first clause as a defined term. The platform also opens an addendum section of the electronic document to receive a user-specified definition of the term. In response to a third user input, the platform inserts the term into the electronic document in a second clause. The platform identifies a fourth user action at a location of the term in the electronic document, and in response: determines that the term has an associated definition; retrieves a current version of the definition from the addendum section; and displays the retrieved current version of the definition in a separate window.
