    摘要: A Hall-effect device and a magnet are mounted on respective resonant bridge supports in magnetic field relationship whereby movement of either the magnet or the Hall-effect device produces a change in the field strength at the Hall-effect device. The two support structures with their mounted components exhibit different natural resonant frequencies whereby stimuli in either of two different ranges causes one or both of the magnet or Hall-effect device to move at their resonant frequency producing a signal. Signal processing circuitry disregards D.C. signals from the Hall-effect device and responds only to A.C. signals, indicative of shocks in the 1000 to 2000 Hertz range or movement of the detector with components in less than the 150 Hertz range. Three different bridge structures are disclosed, one with separate bridges, one employing common support columns and one which is integrally molded.

The ignition system is reactivated after refueling. Switching means provides a theft inhibition circuit by simulating a low fuel indication.

    摘要: An alarm system utilizing a vehicle transmitter of pulsed ultrasonic energy directed to a stationary receiver outside the vehicle and which renders an alarm if the receiver does not receive ultrasonic energy of a given frequency for a preset time period. The vehicle transmitter is disabled in response to an intruder alarm in the vehicle detecting the presence of an intruder. The receiver alarm thus is activated either by the presence of an intruder or by the vehicle being moved a sufficient distance from the receiver.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for automated computer based notification systems. The systems and methods enable secure notification communication sessions. A representative method, among others that are disclosed herein, can be broadly summarized by the following steps: enabling a first party associated with a personal communication device (PCD) to input or select authentication information for use in connection with a subsequent notification communication session involving advance notice of a delivery or pickup of a good or service at a stop location by a mobile thing (MT); storing the authentication information; monitoring location or travel information in connection with the MT; causing initiation of the notification communication session to the PCD, in advance of arrival of the MT at the stop location, based at least in part upon the location or travel information associated with the MT; during the notification communication session, providing the authentication information to the PCD that indicates to the first party that the notification communication session was initiated by an authorized source; and during the notification communication session, enabling the first party to select whether or not to communicate with a second party having access to particulars of the pickup or delivery. An embodiment of a related system, among others, has a computer-based architecture with computer software, or code, that is stored in one or more memories and executed by one or more processors for performing the foregoing steps. Yet another embodiment of a related system can be implemented in software and/or hardware and has a means for performing each of the aforementioned steps.

The detection system can be interconnected to surveillance towers scanning detector cases disposed at seaport docks, freight depots and rail terminals for monitoring containers being prepared for shipment or sitting on docks for long periods of time.
