摘要： In the case where a lens unit where two ore more transparent resin lenses are combined is constituted, at least one transparent resin lens contains infrared absorbent. When the lens unit is assembled, an infrared laser is emitted to a joined portion between the transparent resin lens and the other transparent resin lens. As a result, the emitted infrared ray is absorbed by the infrared absorbent, so that the transparent resin lenses are welded to each other. An opaque lens barrel which holds the entire lens unit and the transparent resin lenses are joined by welding.

摘要： A method for forming a radiation, such as laser, welded point of attachment between at least two fabric pieces, such as ends, is provided. The method comprises the steps of lapping the fabric pieces to be attached; applying to the lapped fabric pieces in a region where the fabric pieces are to be attached a radiation, preferably an infrared energy, absorbing ink; and exposing the ink applied region of lapped fabric pieces to a source of radiation in the wave length absorbed by the radiation absorbing ink. In the case of an infrared absorbing ink, a laser light power has been applied in the range of 200 to 1000 Watts while scanning laser light along the ink applied region at a rate of one to twenty-five meters per minute. The method provides a fabric construction useful as an air bag, a gas inflatable safety cushion or curtain or in other applications, such as articles of apparel.

摘要： An optical information recording medium is manufactured by bonding a first substrate having a first central bore and a second substrate having a second central bore to each other with radiation cure resin. The radiation cure resin is coated on the first substrate. The first and second substrates are brought into close contact with each other so as to form the first and second substrates integrally with the radiation cure resin. A neighborhood of the first and second central bores is radiated. A whole of at least one of opposite outer faces of the integral first and second substrates is irradiated with radiation so as to wholly cure the radiation cure resin.
