Abstract: An impeller for pressurizing an intake air of an engine is provided on a left side end portion in a supercharger rotary shaft of the supercharger. The power from the engine is transmitted to a second sprocket, which is provided on a right side end portion of an input shaft of a speed increaser, through a chain to thereby allow the supercharger to drive. The second sprocket is removably fitted to the input shaft by means of a bolt. The supercharger rotary shaft, the input shaft, the second sprocket and the bolt are all accommodated in a supercharger casing. The supercharger casing has a right side end face formed with an access opening through which access can be made to the second sprocket and the bolt from an axial direction.

Abstract: A heat exchanger module may include a heat exchanger device arranged on a base plate and configured to control the temperature of a fluid via a heat transfer medium. The module may also include at least one additional unit arranged on the base plate and structured as at least one of a pump and a filter device. Further, the module may include a fluid inflow duct, a fluid outflow duct, a medium inflow duct, and a medium outflow duct disposed in the base plate. The at least one additional unit may include at least one inflow line and at least one outflow line disposed in the base plate and fluidically separated from the other ducts disposed in the base plate. The at least one inflow line and the at least one outflow line may be arranged outside as well as below the heat exchanger device.

Abstract: A power unit including an internal combustion engine has an electric power generator mounted on an end of a crankshaft, a power transmitting member mounted on the other end of the crankshaft, and a lubricant oil filter. The oil filter partly overlaps the electric power generator as viewed in the direction of a crankshaft axis, and is positioned between the electric power generator and a crank weight on the crankshaft with respect to the direction of the crankshaft axis. The oil filter has a filter mount axis forming an acute angle to the crankshaft axis. The engine crankcase is thus prevented from bulging outwardly, and the power unit is reduced in size in its entirety.

Abstract: In an oil filter attaching structure for a vehicle-mounted internal combustion engine, an oil filter of the engine is installed in a filter case integrally formed with a crankcase cover of a crankcase. The crankcase cover is mounted on a side surface of the crankcase so as to cover an end of a crankshaft supported by the crankcase to extend in vehicle widthwise directions. An internal combustion engine accessory and a transmission clutch device are disposed inside of the crankcase cover in respective positions forward and rearward of the crankshaft. The oil filter and an oil supply port are disposed inside of the crankcase cover in respective positions upward and downward of the crankshaft. The oil filter attaching structure efficiently utilizes the space for making itself smaller in size and for better maintainability.

Abstract: An oil filter adapter device may be used to enable an engine or other machine that was manufactured for using cartridge oil filters to use spin-on oil filters. In some examples, the oil filter adapter may have a docking collar for coupling with an engine, a cylindrical base for coupling with an oil filter housing, and an attachment piece for coupling with a spin-on oil filter. The oil filter adapter may also have a spring disposed between the docking collar and the cylindrical base such that the docking collar is compressible relative to the cylindrical base to allow the oil filter adapter is able to couple to a variety of oil filter housings ranging in size and shape.
