摘要: An assembly is provided that includes a rotating structure, a bearing, a sensor system, a power system and a controller. The rotating structure is rotatable about an axis. The bearing rotatably supports the rotating structure. The bearing includes a magnetic bearing stator and a magnetic bearing rotor mounted with the rotating structure. The sensor system is configured to provide bearing sensor data indicative of a position of the magnetic bearing rotor relative to the magnetic bearing stator. The power system is electrically coupled to the magnetic bearing stator. The controller is configured to signal the power system to power the magnetic bearing stator based on the bearing sensor data. The controller is configured to monitor health of the rotating structure based on the bearing sensor data.

摘要: A turbomachine fan module includes a fan shaft and a lubrication chamber traversed axially by at least part of the fan shaft. The module further includes at least one first bearing configured to support and guide the fan shaft in rotation. The fan shaft has a first tubular part closed by a cover, wherein the first tubular part has a distal end and a proximal end that are opposite each other along a longitudinal axis X and an annular squealer cavity, formed in an inner surface of the fan shaft, between the distal end and the proximal end. The cover has a body extending along the longitudinal axis X and mounted in the first tubular portion so as to cover and sealingly close the annular squealer cavity.

摘要: A journal shaft for a journal bearing assembly of an aircraft engine includes a shaft body extending along a longitudinal axis. The shaft body has a radially outer surface and a radially inner surface radially spaced apart from the longitudinal axis to define an inner cavity. An oil pocket is defined in the radially outer surface. One or more passages extend through the shaft body from the radially inner surface to the oil pocket to provide fluid communication between the inner cavity and the oil pocket. The oil pocket includes a radially inner base surface and interconnecting transition surfaces extending between the radially inner base surface of the oil pocket and the radially outer surface of the shaft body. The interconnecting transition surfaces form a fluid-dynamically smooth and edgeless transition to the radially outer surface of the journal shaft.

Also provided is a gas turbine component with a CMC segment including a matrix portion including a silicon carbide and a silicon phase dispersed therewithin, a sealing layer including silicon carbide enclosing the first segment, and a second segment on the sealing layer, wherein the second segment includes a melt-infiltrated CMC having a matrix portion including a silicon carbide and a silicon phase dispersed therewithin.
