Abstract: A method and a system for correcting cyclic redundancy check (CRC) for a frame with last bytes changed are provided. The method includes acquiring a data frame, calculating a CRC of a modified data frame, and determining a corrected CRC for the data frame based on at least the CRC of the modified data frame and a CRC correction field calculated on the bytes to be replaced at the end of the frame. An altered data frame includes the data frame with a number of last bytes of the data frame replaced with new bytes.

Abstract: A faulted message element in 5G or 6G can often be identified according to its modulation parameters, including a large deviation of the branch amplitudes from the predetermined amplitude levels of the modulation scheme, and/or the SNR of the branch amplitudes, and/or an amplitude variation of the raw signal or the branches during the message element, and/or an inconsistency between the modulation state as determined by the amplitude and phase of the raw waveform versus the amplitudes of the orthogonal branch signals, among other measures of modulation quality. An AI model may be necessary to correlate the various quality measures, and optionally to determine the correct demodulation of faulted message elements. Costly, time-consuming retransmissions may be avoided by determining the correct demodulation of each message element at the receiver, thereby improving throughput and reliability with fewer delays.

A data transmission method of the transmitter may include: initially transmitting data encoded with an LDPC code to a receiver; receiving a negative acknowledgement (NACK) from the receiver; determining retransmission related information for data retransmission; and retransmitting, in response to the NACK, LDPC-encoded data based on the retransmission related information.

Abstract: Systems and methods to transmit data over multiple communication channels in parallel with forward error correction. Original packets are evenly distributed to the channels as the initial systematically channel-encoded packets. Subsequent channel-encoded packets are configured to be linearly independent of their base sets of channel-encoded packets, where a base set for a subsequent channel-encoded packet includes those scheduled to be transmitted before the subsequent packet in the same channel as the subsequent packet, and optionally one or more initial packets from other channels. The compositions of the sequences of the encoded packets can be predetermined without the content of the packets; and the channel-encoded packets can be generated from the original packets on-the-fly by the transmitters of the channels during transmission. When a sufficient number of packets have been received via the channels, a recipient may terminate their transmissions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for packet payload mapping for robust transmission of data are described. For example, methods may include receiving, using a network interface, packets that each respectively include a primary frame and one or more preceding frames from the sequence of frames of data that are separated from the primary frame in the sequence of frames by a respective multiple of a stride parameter; storing the frames of the packets in a buffer with entries that each hold the primary frame and the one or more preceding frames of a packet; reading a first frame from the buffer as the primary frame from one of the entries; determining that a packet with a primary frame that is a next frame in the sequence has been lost; and, responsive to the determination, reading the next frame from the buffer as a preceding frame from one of the entries.

Abstract: A method and an optical sensor are described herein. The optical sensor may include a communication interface for receiving data from a control unit and for transmitting data to the control unit, a storage unit with at least one register for storing data, and a CRC generator for generating a CRC checksum. The optical sensor may be configured in such a way that when data stored in the storage unit is to be transmitted to the control unit, the communication interface receives from the control unit a device address specific to the optical sensor and an address of a register in which the data to be transmitted is stored. The CRC generator may be initialized using the device address received from the communication interface and/or the register address received from the communication interface, before the CRC generator generates a CRC checksum for the data to be transmitted.

The bit interleaver includes a first memory, a processor, and a second memory. The first memory stores a low-density parity check (LDPC) codeword having a length of 64800 and a code rate of 2/15. The processor generates an interleaved codeword by interleaving the LDPC codeword on a bit group basis. The size of the bit group corresponds to a parallel factor of the LDPC codeword. The second memory provides the interleaved codeword to a modulator for 64-symbol mapping.
