Abstract: An autonomous driving control system for a vehicle which is able to switch between manual driving and autonomous driving is provided with a driver condition sensor, acting part, and electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is provided with an autonomous driving control part, reliance calculating part for calculating an autonomous driving output reliance, vigilance calculating part for calculating a driver vigilance, and an action control part for controlling a strength of an action against a driver. In a region in which an operating point determined by the autonomous driving output reliance and driver vigilance can fall, a plurality of sub regions are defined by boundary lines extending so that the driver vigilance becomes higher as the autonomous driving output reliance becomes lower. The action control part controls the strength of the action against the driver to differ in accordance with the sub region in which the operating point falls.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method, data about potential vehicle operator impairment is retrieved. The data is generated by monitoring a vehicle operator with a first sensor, monitoring the environment ahead of the vehicle with a second sensor, and monitoring force in one or more directions with a third sensor. A plurality of scores is assigned. Each of the plurality of scores corresponds to a respective impairment indicator, and wherein each of the plurality of scores is based on the data about potential operator impairment. An impairment score is generated by performing a mathematical operation on the plurality of scores. It is determined whether the vehicle operator is impaired by comparing the impairment score to a threshold value. Recommendations to reduce operator impairment of the vehicle operator are identified by analyzing the data about potential vehicle operator impairment.

Abstract: A status determination apparatus determining a driver status in a movable body is provided. The status determination apparatus includes a behavior acquisition portion, a check portion, a determination portion, and a range change portion. The behavior acquisition portion obtains behavior information as present behavior information. The behavior information represents behavior of the movable body. The check portion collates the present behavior information with a threshold region representing a range of the behavior information at time when a driver drives absentmindedly. When the threshold region includes the present behavior information, the determination portion determines that the driver drives absentmindedly. The range change portion changes the threshold region. When the range change portion changes the threshold region, the driver is not determined that the driver drives absentmindedly when a driving support control is executed, and the check portion collates the present behavior information with the changed threshold region.

Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use and determining risks associated with operation of a vehicle having one or more autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, a virtual log of data regarding performance of the features in a non-test environment may be recorded during operation of the vehicle. This may include information regarding the vehicle, the vehicle environment, use of the autonomous operation features, and/or control decisions made by the features. The control decisions may include evasive maneuvers performed by the vehicle under the control of the features. The performance data in the virtual log may be used to determine risk levels associated with vehicle operation by the autonomous operation features. The risk levels may further be used to adjust an insurance policy associated with the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicle system of a vehicle for a vehicle user having a camera, an evaluation unit which has a memory and is coupled to the camera, a communication device that is coupled to the evaluation unit, and a self-drive unit which is coupled to the evaluation unit for autonomously driving the vehicle. The camera views the face of the vehicle user and relays collected data to the evaluation unit. An artificial intelligence, in the evaluation unit, evaluates the data from the camera in relation to the attentiveness and emotion of the vehicle user. The evaluated data is stored in the memory of the evaluation unit. On the basis of a predetermined emotion or a lack of attentiveness of the vehicle user, recognized by the artificial intelligence, the vehicle user is notified of the emotion or the lack of attentiveness recognized and the self-drive unit can be activated.
