摘要: A system includes a microcontroller that controls illumination of a plurality of vehicle lights that are operable in a flashing state wherein the plurality of lights operate as hazard flashers visible on a front and rear of a vehicle and a strobing state wherein the plurality of lights operate as strobing lights visible on the front and rear of the vehicle. The system includes a strobe activation switch that provides a signal to the microcontroller to operate the plurality of vehicle lights in the second strobing state. The microcontroller operates the plurality of vehicle lights in the first hazard flasher state in response activation of an existing hazard flasher switch. The strobing state has a flash rate that is perceptibly faster than a flash rate of the flashing state.

摘要: An ultrasonic sensor includes a sensor body, a cushion member, a retainer unit, and a drainage path. The sensor body includes an ultrasonic microphone and a microphone support unit which allows a protruding part of the ultrasonic microphone located at a distal end in an axial direction to protrude and supports the protruding part. The cushion member covers the protruding part. The retainer unit allows exposure of a portion of the cushion member that is located at the distal end in the axial direction, and a portion of the cushion member that is located at a proximal end in the axial direction is sandwiched between the retainer unit and an outer peripheral surface of the protruding part. The drainage path penetrates the retainer unit in a radial direction to allow water to be discharged out of the retainer unit from a gap between the retainer unit and the cushion member.

摘要: A detection device includes a transceiver and a detector. The transceiver causes an ultrasonic sensor used in a vehicle to alternately transmit a first transmission wave having a first amplitude level and a second transmission wave having a second amplitude level that is larger than the first amplitude level. The transceiver receives, from the ultrasonic sensor, a first received signal of the first transmission wave and a second received signal of the second transmission wave. The detector detects an obstacle based on the first received signal or the second received signal having a reception level larger than a predetermined threshold. The detector detects the obstacle based on the second received signal that does not include a second road surface reflected wave out of the second received signal.

A changing unit causes the avoidance control unit to start the collision avoidance control at an earlier timing at a time when the situation determination unit determines that the low-friction situation has occurred than a timing at a time when the situation determination unit determines that the low-friction situation has not occurred.

摘要: Right and left safety module embodiments are designed to be installed in insets located midway along right and left sides of flatbed trucks. The modules provide “man baskets” that have lower and upper platforms. While the truck is being driven alongside a roadway work zone, a workperson standing on the module's lower platform either 1) moves traffic delineators one at a time from the upper platform, and then places the delineators at spaced locations alongside the roadway work zone, or 2) removes traffic delineators one at a time from spaced locations alongside the roadway work zone, and then places the delineators onto the upper platform. Vertically movable safety rails and pivotal safety gates of the modules prevent falls from the modules of workpersons standing on the lower platform.
