A display is made from a flexible and transparent material such as a clear plastic sheet material, having a pocket portion and one or more flap portions, said pocket portion for receiving a combined holder made of a substantially rigid material and having provision to accept an indicia of a substantially flimsy material. The indicia and/or indicia are in a format suggesting or compelling the display of certain display information when assembled, and concealing certain other concealed information until it is disassembled for storage. The writing input portion has multiple layers and is enclosed in the frame, and includes a surface writing layer, an underlayer, and an input induction layer which is formed between the surface writing layer and the underlayer, and is connected to the control circuit by its output. The input induction layer is a wire lattice winded and interlaced separately by wires along the X and Y axes, and the wires are insulated with each other at the crossing points. The area enclosed within each lattice unit constitutes one induction cell. The present invention possesses the following advantages: simple and reasonable structure; easy manufacturing; highly reduced cost of the electronic whiteboard; convenient for maintenance; highly improved induction accuracy; portable and convenient for carrying, hanging, storing and space saving.

A method and apparatus for the manipulation of colloidal particulates and biomolecules at the interface between an insulating electrode such as silicon oxide and an electrolyte solution. Light-controlled electrokinetic assembly of particles near surfaces relies on the combination of three functional elements: the AC electric field-induced assembly of planar aggregates; the patterning of the electrolyte/silicon oxide/silicon interface to exert spatial control over the assembly process; and the real-time control of the assembly process via external illumination. The present invention provides a set of fundamental operations enabling interactive control over the creation and placement of planar arrays of several types of particles and biomolecules and the manipulation of array shape and size. The present invention enables sample preparation and handling for diagnostic assays and biochemical analysis in an array format, and the functional integration of these operations. In addition, the present invention provides a procedure for the creation of material surfaces with desired properties and far the fabrication of surface-mounted optical components.

The present invention includes a wireless mobile communication device with a body casing having an exterior surface, and a number of light sources (LS) disposed on the exterior surface. A machine accessible medium is provided with instructions to selectively activate the number of LS in a spatial movement dependent manner to spatially paint luminescent images. Additionally, a processor is coupled to the machine accessible medium to execute the instructions. As a result, spatial painting of luminescent images utilizing a wireless mobile communication device is facilitated.
